When all is said and done, it’s a sport. It’s entertainment. Frustrating series but if that’s the worst in your life then things are pretty good. As Philly fans, going by myself who started paying attention to sports when I was ~11, out of the 100 big 4 sports seasons all but 2 have ended in disappointment. It is what it is. Don’t let a sport knock you off a square
I spent most of my life being diehard and having team eliminations put me in a depressed mood and stuff. I think I started to mellow out a lot and I think COVID sports shutdown probably cold-turkeyed me.

I just lost the huge need to always be watching a game, or feeling like I "NEEDED" to watch or someone wouldn't consider me a "true fan".

After seeing the Sixers continually failing, the Phillies fail in the WS, Eagles lose a SB... I realized it doesn't really bother me much. It's like watching a TV show and having the writer come up with a shitty ending.

I dont feel anywhere as bad as I did on February 12, 2023 or February 6th, 2005. Something just felt off after the debacle that was game 4. Kimbrel was basically a slight better version of Familia the second half of the year.
Yeah, the worst for me was having 2 bullshit calls cost the Flyers a chance at a game 7 at the Spectrum in the 1980 SCF. This is bad, but nowhere near the living hell that was.

Glad I didn't watch those zillion regular season games rendered meaningless by this choking situation as Terry Murray would say...
