Regardless o
Take solace in this: if they let Brandon Pfaadt dominate them again tonight, they'd be toast against the Rangers anyway

They will get to him just like they figured out Bryce Elder after his 1st start against us. I expect a lot of walks early and then the game broken open in the 3rd or 4th.

Pfaadt has much better stuff than Elder so I don't think it'll be quite as easy this time around. Also if they do get to him, he'll be yanked at the first sign of trouble and they'll have to deal with the bullpen, something they haven't done much damage against lately.

Hmmm starting to feel better about our chances. This man has a knack for his takes immediately blowing up in his face

As an aside, I actually like the strategy. Trust your players to do their job. Even if it doesn't work tonight, it's how you build a culture where players want to be here because you know the manager isn't going to bail on you for one rough stretch. It's the kind of decisions that land you bigger fish in FA.

The batters who have been struggling need to look at this game as a fresh start. Anyone can have an iconic game or hit in Phillies history. Forget the previous 6 games. Let’s see who steps up today

Thomson absolutely should have changed the batting order earlier in this series. You also ABSOLUTELY can not change it for Game 7 after refusing to do it the entire series and just give a sense of fear to the rest of the team.

Like Herb Brooks said, "Great moments are born from great opportunity."

What this team has before them tonight is a great opportunity to create one of the greatest moments of their careers. Its up to them now.

As for the fans in attendance? They better not just show up, they better show out too. Be relentless no matter what happens early. Show the team we are going to be in it with them until the 27th out. None of that nervous energy bullshit.

Game 7, I don't expect a fan to sit down. Schwarb's, Harper, Turner, Casty etc...need to give them the opportunity to cheer.
