How can we call the Braves a choke organization when they won a World Series in 2021 without their best player?

Also, this series was very close to going to a fifth game. We're looking at a much different result if the Braves' starting pitching were healthier and their hitting more timely. Their #2 pitcher was just back from injury and possibly still affected by it; their usual #3 was out for the series.

Anyway, looking forward to the NLCS. Hopefully the stellar pitching continues. Bohm, Rojas, and Schwarber need to work on being tougher outs.

Credit where it’s due here.

It is time to recognize the Braves as a biggest choke organization in sports. Step aside Buff Bills. Braves won it all in 95. Since then, they have won their division a stunning 17 times, but only have one title.
Strange because one of their weaker teams, compared to some they fielded, won the World Series

2008 Phillies were the weakest of the four teams between 2008 and 2011.

This is why you want to compete for an extended period, because you never know when the Baseball (Hockey, Football) Gods will smile upon you.

And why I hate when GMs try to force the issue, since you don't know when the bounces will go your way, keep the window open as long as possible. TB is the one exception to this rule, but they were already a SC caliber team when they went all-in.

This Braves squad is never winning with Acuna as their best player and leader. He doesn't have the minerals. They won it in 2021 led by Freddie Freeman and a deadline acquisition in Jorge Soler.

We have all of the right ingredients right now, but it's going to be extremely tough still.

Yeah, I think ultimately it comes down to a dozen or so situational moments and great players aren’t necessarily better in those situations than solid players. Everything is under a microscope and a solid player can deliver in a clutch moment more or less the same than a star player. As long as your roster is constructed in the right way, like an ace, with 2 other good starters, a deep bullpen, and no glaring weaknesses in the batting lineup, you have a chance at the title. Some luck is involved too. It’s how a team plays at key moments that will determine if they are champions or not

Actually the Dodgers come In a.close 2nd, with 15 div titles in that span, and also just one title

Different team. They had Freddie and Dansby leading the way. And maybe Acuna not being there in 2021 was the key? Despite all of his talent...guy is a clown and it seems like some of his teammates followed his lead. His behavior in september was embarassing and accomplished nothing but pissing the phillies off.

Hard to say that when a guy has the numbers he has...but his post season numbers are atrocious. I thought his cockyness would get the best of him but i thought hed still be a factor in the series.

The braves issues are not on the field they are in the lockeroom. Very curious to see if they ship Arcia out.

Moving on from Bryce Harper was key to the Nationals' 2019 WS victory

I was more nervous about the Fish than the Braves. Not because I thought the Marlins were better, but because the Phillies have a tendency to play down to worse teams. I am a little concerned about this series for that reason and also because I am just so unfamiliar with the DBacks.
