Quick has been the best player on the team up to this point. He's given the Kings a chance to win most games this year. He's going to give up a bad goal here and there. Kopitar has 5 goals and 19 points in his last 36 games. Averaging well under 2 shots per game. He has as many goals as Richards and Stoll do during that time span.

Good game... guys tried hard.... Philly just has a good defense and PK... not to mention some of the best defensive forwards in the game.... I mean they have so much depth at center they moved Schenn to wing and had to bench Lechavilairilarlia. Bring on Buffalo!!!!

A lot of emotion on this thread right now. I'm thinking Kopitar is pretty much the scapegoat here...perhaps, he didn't play that well but man how can you guys trash Kopitar and leave Carter alone?

I rather not see any players be scapegoated here. Most of these guys are two-Cup champions in the past three seasons. I really think some of you (maybe most of you) need to step away from the keyboard and take a deep breath. These guys will be back and stronger than ever.

That was a fun last 30 minutes. Kings really brought it. Give credit to the Flyers defense and goaltending.

Some people are sick of the lack luster regular season performances. Frankly I am tired of it as well.

Also at some point, maybe not this season , this sleepwalking through the regular season is going to cost the kings a playoff spot.

IMO it's because Kopitar has been average since game 1. Carter was riding a hot streak with the 70's line, he didn't have a rough start like Kopitar.

They'll both go back to "normal" as the season progresses, its just that it's not looking pretty for Kopitar right now and it's hard to watch the team play like this.

Let me go against the grain and call it like I see it, a long season. I'm going to give my opinion that all this negative energy is bull ****, "bro," hell, its just a game, and I mostly enjoyed the second half of this one. So we lost, big ****ing deal. It's going to happen in a long season.

No, and nobody expects anyone on the team to be perfect. It's just that Kopitar is playing and producing below expectations. More so than usual anyway. He's not usually 6th on the team in scoring, averaging .5 points per game, almost 30 games in.

I don't know what more Quick could be doing this year. Through the 21 games he's played, he's got the highest save percentage of his career. He's faced the 3rd most shots in the league. Of the #1 goalies in the league, he's tied for the best sv%.

Quick's body of work this season is better than Kopitar's.
