Trash game. Our PP is disgusting. Kings should be embarrassed for pissing this away. These are the points that are going to hurt when we are trying to make the playoffs.

Not really. Kings will make the playoffs and this game will be forgotten except for those unsufferable Flyers fans for who this is their Cup.

It's nothing new. The Kings do this sometimes. Sometimes often. It doesn't matter who they play. It doesn't matter where they play. Sometimes it doesn't matter when they play, although there's a reason the Saturday afternoon thing is a running joke for years now.

Can throw out all sorts of reasons. Saturday afternoon game, at home no less. Bad road team on the other side. Eastern conference team. A game after a divisional game. Poor play, which isn't new this year either.

It's the Kings.

No, but I don't think most of the Kings have played good so far. Why single him out?

Because when it's clear they're trying to funnel everything thru him--Pp, carrying the puck into the zone at the end, and minutes in all "we need you" situations, his absence vs expectations is the most glaring.

Because he's our top offensive player. And he's looked worse than just about everyone else.

Kopitar is a star and a leader on the team. His play this season is unacceptable. You can't have important players play this bad and expect to be successful.

Whipping boy as in hanging all the team's problems around his neck.

No one wanna get on Quick for that awful gwg softie?

Of course. That was crap. The pp was mostly crap. Offensive zone penalties were crap. There's plenty of blame to go around. But of course the most noticeable is arguably our most important player. I don't see any reason that's Not the first and most prominent discussion point especially given his failures tonight.

And I'm just about the biggest kopitar apologist on these boards

Would you trade him? He's going to get a pay day.

The first goal set the tone, but that second goal was pretty brutal. We still seem to be missing a little bit of grit too. Brown gets a couple of taps and Williams gets prodded but not a lot in the way of response. Where are Clifford and Nolan?
