OT: Philadelphia Eagles (NFL): When You're Up, It's Never As Good As It Seems, And When You're Down, You Never Think You'll Be Up Again

My first thought is straw. Should be easier than those sippy cups. They're kind of a bitch to drink from.
I appreciate the input. The weird thing here is that when we were finding out his mouth we used a regular cup and let him drink from it. He had no issues or anything with it but we saw the new blood coming from it so it bothered us more than him.

I tried a bendy straw with the milk to try and calm him down after we got done with all of that and he tried it but was crying from it.

So either it’s a temperature thing that was bothering him or milk is a big no no with an open wound or it’s all just a coincidence.

I have nothing to do but ponder this situation as I usually don’t go to bed until 11ish and then wind down for a few hours watching tv so this is my nightmare three hours in.

My head-canon is now that they did practice this. And the defense thought it would be funny to let the dumbest play they've seen score. And then were standing there in horror as they saw it appear in a real life playoff game with their fate on the line

Do you have these?

For those that follow such team-building trends, the streak of rookie contract QBs making a Super Bowl officially continues. We've had one game without since 2012.

Are you counting 2017? Is that the one?

Edit: probably not eh. I guess we're the team with the pure rookie contract this year since San Fran has Jimmy G anchoring the cap space down.

Eagles and 49ers both have one.

Even if you count both of SF's other QBs, you only get to 20ish in cap space and less than 15 in cash on the position. That's nothing.

Im seeing Eagles -2.5 now. I can objectively look at this game and think they will win. Jalen will be the difference. He will make a few plays that get it done.

On the subjects of cowards, Flatbrim is one too.

ESP with the deep dive on Purdy ready for some hot takes

I believe Go was still a slight favorite after the purposeful Delay of Game penalty.

I know we talked about this briefly, but what was the statistical decision when the Cowboys punted with like 2:15 left in the 4th?

I will admit something here…

I didn’t watch a play since Rayne’s first pick.

Thatcher Venmo fell earlier today while playing which may or may not have been the reason for what is to come. His lips were a little bloody after the fall but he picks his lips all the time so I thought nothing of it and wiped them off.

Hours went by.

We were putting him up to bed and I gave him a sippy cup of milk and he started whining when me and HCette look at him and his lips and mouth are full of blood. Take him to the bathroom and he has a cut above his top teeth. Took FOREVER to calm him down so I’ve been laying in bed in the dark since like 7:30. I’ve deduced that he ripped his frenulum somehow which is seemingly common with toddlers. I haven’t been able to get a great look at it because of how worked up he was so it’s really just a guess. It could have been from the fall or he took a giant piece of a day old cookie cake kinda thing and ate it all over a period of time today and it wasn’t exactly soft.

Yeah, I know this response has nothing to do with football, haha but I’m going to follow it up with a question for the parents out there… any idea what the best and most non disruptive way for a toddler to drink with this issue? The suction of the sippy cup seemingly agitated him and then we just gave him a regular cup to rinse his mouth out every time he’d put it to his mouth I think he’d hit the cut and make it bleed again. I know this is going to be an issue when he wakes up tomorrow and I don’t want him to be constantly reopening the cut.
Not going to say this will work 100%, but buy those disposable sippy cups and just drill out/use a knife to enlarge the holes. Or just cut a large opening.

These also generally work for transitioning from full sippy cups to "big kid" drinking.

Yet another season to show none of the major talking heads know Wtf they're talking about. Anyone who thought the Bills were beating the Bengals after watching the second half of their season should be fired from major networks. Did they NOT see last week's game? There's only a handful of players worth a f*** left even somewhat healthy, they don't play their rookies enough and think they can sign up washed-up vets to spackle over everything. But boy do these guys have great CHARACTER. I feel like I'm watching the football equivalent of the Hextall-run Flyers, coaches and all.

I think our offense will score "some" points, but I think Dallas defense was OUTSTANDING laterally tonight. I don't think our LBs will do well against the zone running.

IMO the defense has to have the game of the year, and no offense turnovers.

Couldn’t you just hook him up to an IV? Problem solved.

They lost about 2% Win Probablity there. 2% may not seem like a lot that late, but they were such a huge dog that it was still ~40% of their good outcomes going up in smoke.

Are you saying that they had about 6% chance to win in that moment, and then by punting instead of going for it on 4th, they went down to 4%?

5% to 3% but yes.

Doh - sorry. Had a moment of being dumb.

Thank you for that. Had a big argument last night with a friend that I was "being too emotional" when I said the Cowboys were cowards and screwed themselves by not risking it to get the TD with 2:15 left.

Also, random question for the group:

OBJECTIVELY....which NFL divisions have the biggest/most/best rivalries (in total)?

Like if you said "That is a division where it's a bloodbath each year among fans", who are the Top 3 you'd say?
