two qb needy teams seem to be out of the market in Detroit and seattle. THe only teams I see targetting qb's are Carolina, Houston, and the Colts. If the draft were today i see the top 5 going like this

Houston Bryce young
SEattle WIll Anderson
Chicago - trade down with either carolina or Colts
Lions Jalen Carter
Eagles..... a bit screwed. We need to come out of this draft with either anderson or carter imo to really capitalize on a need and elite talent at that position of need. I wouldn't mind trading up a bit to secure one of those players with chicago.
Seattle is sitting at #2, and Denver is a mess. QB is there if they want one. Are they really sticking with Geno....

Goff is at least making the NFC probowl.

I do think you are right that 5 is kinda dicey IF someone doesn't move into the top 5 for a QB.

geno is playing great, they are winning because of him. Lions already said Goff is their guy, he is playing great.

@Chinatown88 I made it to December without giving in.

Is Hurts going to put Pfizer out of business?

I thought this might have been his best game as a pro. When he did/didn't leave the pocket was basically spot on.

Brb. PFF mock up to 7 rounds now. Nice. It was still 2 last week when I was messing around.

I know what I'm doing now in my spare time.

Their grades are odd.
Took Ringo at 10 after a trade-down and got C+
They don't like Tyree Wilson -- I took him at the end of the 2nd round and got a D+

I'm not a big college football watcher these days. Used to be, but for some reason, it just drifted away from me. As such, I am sort of glad, because I'd be obsessively cranking out selections from the DraftBot, proudly thumping my chest at my immaculate "drafting" prowess.

I'm what you might call an April draft expert, but that's only because I read the many astute observations on this board, to the point where an office conversation might result in something like this:

"Yeah, he's tall and runs a 4.53 and he's weight room gym rat, but he's all upper body with no leverage. He can't rely on a bull rush alone in the Bigs. He's got no "lean" and doesn't have the footwork to effectively stunt inside against the quicker tackles in the NFL. He has decent hands but needs to continue to get them inside. He had that one big game against Purdue and a decent one against Michigan State, but he was working against a third stringer in the former and the MSU tackle had a knee issue coming into the game."

Then I'd raise an entitled eyebrow and wait for a rejoinder, confident in my fraudulence.

I haven't gone back to Anderson yet, but my memory says Anderson's 2021 > Carter's 2022 > Carter's 2021 > Anderson's 2022.

Normally I am clear priority to EDGE, yep. But for the Eagles, who anchor their fronts on DT abilities and prioritize the position, I'm good putting them on equal ground as long as we're talking true freaks who win with both athleticism and strength -- Fletcher Cox, Jeffrey Simmons, etc. Carter is. Someone like Derrick Brown was not.
I think in today's NFL, a top DT has more value, especially athletic types who can play multiple spots, NT, "3", 3-4 DE, making it easier to disguise formations pre-snap.

With the rise of the short passing game, even top DEs struggle to get to QBs on short drops, whereas a top DT can get penetration, keep the QB from stepping up, screw up the timing on passes, and set the table for a DE to clean up.

Don't forget the conditions were bad, cold rain with some wind is probably the toughest for a QB.

It certainly impacted his receivers, 3 drops, a couple "perfectly placed" passes that only his receivers could make a play that were dropped, tough catches but doable.

Of course, Chicago this Sunday might be the battle of the "Running QBs", it'll be in the 20s with some wind.

Who are we supposed to root for in the 49ers and and Seahawks game? Who winning (or losing) would be most beneficial to the Eagles?

I'll never understand what part of Smith they needed to hit with a hammer to lock in whatever gear runs his ability to go through progressions and just distribute balls.

I mean not that he's making a difference tonight, but this season he's been unrecognizable as a QB for the most part.
