I see the fanbase has gone off the deep end again today. It's ok to be happy about their record and think they're good while also realizing it's been a bit lucky to only lose one of these games. Sheesh.

There's definitely been luck in there...the difficulty for me is trying to play off silly things like "they're the Vikings of last year" from namely Niners fans trying to pretend we aren't a threat.

We're all clearly very good teams (Niners, Eagles, Cowboys, etc.) let's just not be idiots about these absolutes ya know!

Speaking of Duce: I went to Eagles training camp in Summer 2002 and Duce had the biggest thighs I’ve ever seen. They were so massive & muscular that it blew my tiny little brain. Runyan & Tra Thomas were mammoth beasts too. You can’t always tell how huge these guys are on TV. But in person, they’re basically Space Jam’s Monstars.
I was lucky enough to be on the field during warmups about 5 seasons ago and I'll never forget seeing those dudes. Cox, Lane, Peters...just enormous humans

1) This should be a legit fine or suspension. Small ones, but important.
2) Weak minded losers. No surprise they lost.

That Phillips guys should be drug tested. He was soo much overagressive the whole game. i think i never ever saw a more overaggressive (after whistles) player in a game before. And i dont talk about trashtalk or a small crowd. He was the only one with this attitude and that is very rare.

Crazy “heckling” experience: I was at a Phantoms game as a young kind in the late 90’s, sitting behind the penalty box. A man and his ~8 year old son show up late to the game a row in front of us. The man proceeded to “heckle” a black player on the other team. He was making monkey sounds, monkey gestures and all types of crazy shit. The black player gets in a fight and goes to the penalty box. The man pulls out a banana. Why he had it and where it came from, idk. He throws and hits the player with it. The player is unfazed and nonchalant, barely took notice of it even though it hit him and he looked down at it. His composure was strong and he shrugged it off. Didn’t look back or nothing. I forget if the man was ejected or left on his own but this whole thing took place in a span of 5-10 minutes. It was so surreal. Did the guy plan the banana? Why have a banana at a phantoms game? Was the player sleeping with the “heckler’s” wife or something? It seemed like the man came solely to go after the player. Why didn’t the player care? He was a tough guy and had just gotten into a fight with a Phantoms goon and did well. What was his kid thinking during all this? So so so many questions. I don’t think anyone in the stands reacted either. Maybe they were so surprised. Maybe I’m the only one who saw. It was so bizarre and offensive. I should try and figure out who the player was
Its called racism. And in the late 90´s its was pretty common. And Hockey isnt the most anti racism sport in the world! Iam wondering why you are still so suprised after all this years. We heard a lot of rasicm stories in the last decade from guys like Wayne Simmonds for example! LeBrun: Wayne Simmonds, Matt Dumba and HDA relive racist experiences for a common goal — ‘a beacon of hope for kids’

When you see them going in the lockerroom through this long floor. Sometimes you can compare them to small visitors standing there. Sometimes it feels like they are Titans!

Obviously I get it’s racism and for dancingpanther I get the banana, but what I don’t get is making a very public racist spectacle for such a minor 40 GP, 2 G, 2 A, 200 PIM AHL guy, and taking time out of your day and risking so much, all while bringing your young son along. The player’s lack of reaction was equally as surreal. He noticed it but didn’t give 2 f***s.

Bro... Racists are living for being the only humans race who is worth to be on this planet. They living racism like a religion. It doesnt matter what the player have done or not done. He is a black man and racists hate them with a passion we dont understand. And he bring his son with him, cause he wanted to show him how every human should tread black man! Its mental ill behaviour in my eyes, but iam no racist so i dont even want to understand it!

Yeah, it can definitely be mental illness. I don’t do much anymore, but I used to post on the literature forum on 4chan and the far right /pol/ type that has colonized that site in recent years has made it unusable; and it used to have the reputation of a cesspool with images of gore, CP, and all other types of degeneracy. Somehow it’s much worse now. It takes a certain type of person to make the most tenuous connection, the slightest pretext, to rant about jews, women, liberals, and nonwhites. It is the myopic, autistic shoehorning that makes it mental illness. Telling such people to chill out, this is a Mark Twain thread, no need for holocaust denial, will be met with being called a troon, “post nose, rabbi”, “post hand (skin color)”. Definitely mental illness.

The guy has spent the last two decades nomading his way around the NFL. I can see why he might want to call it quits.
Reich is a sick f***. He is now going to have the greatest comeback in coaching history to go along with the greatest comeback in nfl playoff history and in college football history.

ill take the hall of fame qb or the generational dt.

Jurgensen only had a few years here as a starter. If you’re going to weigh the positional value that heavily, fair enough. I just don’t for discussions like this.

Cox is up there too. I just think Lane’s peak lasted significantly longer.

(I’m really not sure how you had two objections and neither was Bednarik, but that’s ok too.)
