More like Prime Percy Harvin. Used out of the backfield sparingly, a bit gadgety, but touches the ball in space in every way possible.
Did he not run between the tackles often at USC? I know you said Kiffin had him motioning out of the backfield a bunch but I didn't realize it was more often than not. Very interesting. Square peg in round hole indeed.

Stop triggering me with UF players

Nono. Percy Harvin is the starting RB for Your New York M.A.D. Cats.

Sometimes, but Lendale White got most of those. What you also have to remember is that personnel and schemes were still largely built to stop more traditional offenses. Kiffin and his Co-OC Steve Sarkisian (now HC at Texas) came from backgrounds where you spread opposing defenses out. So even between the tackles, you weren't getting 8 men in the box. You often weren't even getting 7.

Kiffin and Sark also had an impressive check down package at the time, so Bush would get the ball with spread fields late in plays. There were games where just motioning Bush out of the backfield got him 1v1 with a 250lb future accountant Linebacker. You can see where this is going.

There’s a lot of college offensive athlete types from the 90’s/early 2000’s that I wonder now if they just played in this era what it would be like.
Michael Bishop will always be near the top of the list for me.

Time has redeemed Geno and everyone always says Tavon Austin, but I would have sworn to you that Stedman Bailey was the best player on that WV team. I hate Jeff Fisher so much

Bro kill me. Can't wait for it to be for less than Pickett. Thanks for facilitating the worst timeline, Howie

Shit is flyers level asset management and talent evaluation
He rode the greatest run ever to a Super Bowl win. The amount of good graces this guy has in the general NFLdom is off the charts. If you look at the entire tenure of his GMing, it's painfully average if not below average in terms of talent evaluation. I will die a happy man the day I see some main stream NFL beat finally rip into Howie. Man is a fraud.

Just look at his arrogance in ignoring safeties and LBs in the draft all this time. It's shown repeatedly that it's a liability of a strat and season after season it's the same shit. Look no further than that.

This Pickett situation juxtaposed to Fields is a joke. And to boot, Howie is the reason the Steelers could free a roster spot up for Fields! Absolutely tremendous work

It's kinda like if Maryland won a football national championship. The coach could pretty much stay there the next 20 years and be excused.

Howie is a cap genius. Every NFL team has a cap guy, but those 'cap guys' are being told by the GM "make this happen, do this for me."... Howie's the guy able to manipulate it himself for what he wants.

As you said in actual talent evaluation he's average to below-average. He's had huge misses in day 1 and day 2 picks. He continues to stubbornly dismiss certain positional needs and those areas have been exploited against the Eagles to the detriment of the on-field performances. He's made some really bad long-term commitments, but has managed to bail himself out a few times.

The Wentz trade still looks insane and how it even happened.

Howie the 'cap genius' at GM is kinda like if you had an elite stunt coordinator direct a movie. You may get insane and great stunts in it, but you may not have a very good movie or story surrounding it all.
