Fields shouldn't be cheap enough for that to be a rational thing for us to do; some team should offer the Bears more than would make sense for us.

That said, the NFL is no less obsessed with shiny objects than any other league, so most of the teams that should be talking themselves into Fields are more likely to overpay for someone in the draft.

You have to get that churn going - acquire as many draft picks as humanly possible, pay your elite players you don't have cover for, and don't get too attached to anyone - replace them with draftees. Rinse, repeat. Get that quarterback, though. My team hasn't had one since around 1998.
