Jason can now focus on his family and his health. Drop the extra pounds that Beau Allen recommended and other OL in have done like Joe Thomas, Jeff Saturday, etc. Makes for a better quality of life not carrying the extra 40-50 lbs he's been carrying.

He has plenty of options available to him now. Just has to decide what he wants to do.
And his dream of having a cattle farm!!

Not football, but I visited family near Tampa in thr early 2000's, and they pointed out a farm owner by the Sixers Matr Geiger. He had a herd of longhorns, which are quite impressive up close.

So is Wilson out of the league or does a team sign him?
He's got too much of a good prior resume to be completely out of the league, and there should be enough QB-needy teams that will take a chance on him.

He's obviously only going to get a fraction of what Denver had signed him to though. He ain't getting another contract like that ever again, unless he goes absolutely bananas on his next team...and I don't see that happening.

Sounds like the Jets move aha

Wilson probably played like a middle of the road starter last year all jokes aside after being horrible the years before that. But I understand with Payton there cutting bait.

Not just the 85 million dead cap, also the money that was already on the cap in the last 2 years. Plus all the draft capital they traded for him. For 30 games and a 11-19 record. Insane.
That's Jumbo Fisher go-away money!

ACL injury, at around the same time Kyler tore his the prior season. So, unlikely to play in Sept. So, they need a new QB anyways for at least part of the season. Just a completely bad assessment on the team to do anything more than Tag him.

At worst, you blow $12 mill in 2024 on Barkley. Should have given him a Jonathan Taylor type contract. 3 years for $45 mill with $26 mill guaranteed or something. So, basically 2 years for 2023 and 2024. Pay Jones the $32 mill or whatever on the tag. Save yourself $50 mill there but spend like $13 mill more on Barkley, thus a net savings still of $37 mill or something.
