Well, the Eagles should have a fresh quality dline every play. I’ll probably wake up and check tomorrow to really make sure we got both. I never would have thought it possible

Can't believe the whole league actually passed on Levis. I agree, but still shocking.

The Hooker 1st round hype was always crazy.
If Smith had somehow gone, I was thinking the Rams might want to hop up and grab one of the two, to line up their replacement for Stafford. Things seem to be working out well from their perspective, at least.

The Eagles had the best 1st round, but man, its tough determining who had the worst: the Lions? The Jets? Dallas? Arizona? Getting Nolan Smith wasn't the result of Howie's brilliance, it was just sitting there and watching other teams screw up.

Hooked going round 1 would have been an even bigger historical outlier than Walker at 1OA to me. No one has any idea if Hooker is an NFL QB. Not one person on the planet. He might not even be a backup.

He fell because he’s small. It’s legit. You need a plan with those guys or they don’t work.

They also have the guy everyone in the universe comped him to for good reasons and they used him damn well.
Are you saying fit matters as well as raw talent? Does that apply to hockey as well?

Eagles stuck with a scheme (3/4 morphs into 4/3 under) that allows you to play fast edge guys in space and undersized LBs. Then Howie drafts/signs to that scheme. Let your DTs control the center of the field, and your edge/LBs chase everything to the perimeter and set up mismatches of DEs/SLBs against TEs and RBs in pass protection.
