So now we see if someone comes up to 3. This is breaking well for Howard so far.

Am I crazy in thinking that the Bears could've gotten more?

I both think they got a huge haul and also think this is true.

It basically comes down to how much you think Moore is worth. He's really good.

If you're Chicago, I think you had to get some significant portion of this value as a player. Fields' contract clock is ticking.

Slay is going to be hard to trade with that contract, he was piss poor the second half after a good first half, and he's now 32, which is ancient for a CB.

I think Howie was ready to move on from both Slay and Bradberry, a lot of their performance was two deep safeties and a great pass rush, and he can probably duplicate that with a cheaper pair than running them back at $25+M and hoping age doesn't catch up to them.

Came back to link this to @SnS. I actually do get this. Chicago wanted to go now. They controlled the timeline. Make the trade and work your board.

I mean I don’t really think the Houston roster has much.

I’d imagine we need OL / LB / WR help. But I’m not seeing much looking at Houston (also pretty uninformed on some of the names so that could be why.

I would guess you just get a pick back. We’ve got Jeremiah already saying 3 is probably up for sale. Now come the dueling leaks.

The only loser in this is Indy.

I don’t expect them to move the pick, I think they’ll stay and take who they want.

I don't think they will either, but I sure as shit would be leaking it. It's worth a shot. Speaks to competence when there's no downside.

Ultimately, if they get the QB right, the price is irrelevant.

Betting markets think this is Stroud. Do you think that makes sense?

I’m strongly considering buying some Levis 1OA futures. The other 3 are in the -300 TO +300 range. Levis is at +2200.
Do it and I'll pray for you everyday until the draft.

Am I so off my initial reads that if you move up for Stroud it's not worth it? I just feel like he doesn't have the high ceiling but has a decently high floor.

Who’s your gigantic swing?
Who’s your safe swing?

I think none of them are remotely safe. Risk is usually way understated for my liking at the tops of drafts. If forced to pick a name, it's Young. My only question is whether he can stay healthy. I don't worry about the height in the MOF passing. He's good enough to overcome that. It's just a question of what the hits do to him.

Frank Reich knows way more about QB play than I will ever even be able to appreciate. If he tells me Richardson's footwork is fixable...

Remember when the Texans won thus giving Chicago #1?

That was fun.

That's why the fake outrage over Doug throwing that Washington game was so boring to me.

Everybody is (rightfully) making fun of the Jets for being stuck with Wilson at QB instead of Lawrence and laughing at the Texans for losing the #1 pick with that useless win.

But pulling your starters in the second half of a meaningless game to improve your draft position? Big scandal!!

It'll be the same damn people too. Laughing at the Jets and Texans while giving shit to Doug...

He will get a new contract, that’s the whole point.
