Thing is that Ellis contract could age bad, and Myers is a good top 4 option already. I think Nashville did really well here (philly did okay, Vegas did bad).

That looks like a great deal for Philly but obviously with his term and age Ellis comes with a bit of a risk. It looks like people here are putting more value on Glass than Patrick but let's face it, they're from the same draft and while both are yet to break through in the NHL, Patrick has showed more so far. Nashville is getting younger and it's the right direction for them but the value they're getting back here seems low.

Seems like Nashville did the best here, Philly did well too. No idea what Vegas is thinking though. That WheatKings connection is strong I guess..

i like the move. Ellis is a great RHD. will help solidify Philly's top 4. Patrick sucked last year and wanted out. maybe he can bounce back elsewhere but he looked terrible. Myers didn't look good either. but both players still have potential to improve.

If Glass can develop into a great top 6 C and Phillipe Myers into a solid #4 defenseman, that would be a great deal for Predators. I like the potential of both.

Fair deal for everyone imo. Very well done from all three teams. Nashville could make out like bandits especially considering Glass never really got an extended shot on Vegas, Philly gets an elite top pair guy and Vegas swaps Glass (Who clearly had a fall out with Vegas after being below Kolesar, Brown, Reaves and other grinders during the playoffs) for another wildcard with upside.

No, but we have Fabbro and Carrier on the right side and Ellis is over 30 and has a long contract. Still a solid top pairing/2nd pairing guy.

Love this for Nashville, but I'm still very high on Glass. Don't know much about Myers tbh.
Yeah once everything trickled in, it made more sense. I like Glass, a lot. (Not meth, Cody Glass)

I hope I’m wrong but I think Patrick might be damaged goods unfortunately

I think everyone gets what they wanted:

Philly: We need to leverage Patrick into the best thing we can get. We can take on cap hit and give up a defenseman to do so.
Vegas: We have Glass and he needs a change of scenery for an equivalent prospect.
Nashville: We need to turn Ellis (who has a high cap hit and has started playing like shit) into a draft exempt piece and acquire a replacement defenseman for Ellis. We also need to cut salary.

Glass in Nashville is awesome. Won't surprise me if NASH has a deal with Seattle TO take Duchene or Johansen.
If Nashville moves out Duchene or Johansen, it will be interesting - that would clear almost all of their big long-term salary commitments, giving them a much younger team and an almost blank slate of the salary cap to grow their youth into.
