The Flyers biggest need is for offence but not at the expense of giving up Schenn and Gostisbehere for Gaudreau and Shinkaruk.

What's up with all these Gaudreau to philly proposals lately. I can't see Calgary trading away Gaudreau.

Johnny Hockey will most likely re-sign with Calgary to a 7-8 year deal for around 7.5mil a season, Gaudreau isn't going anywhere any time soon.

Gaudreau grew up in Flyers territory, and he's unsigned.

So a ton of HFBoards is speculating that he's holding out cause he doesn't want to play in Calgary, he just wants to go home -- because that's the only motivating factor for star players now.

the point went way over your head. Philly traded a ton of top prospects/players for a player (Lindros) who was touted to be the next Gretzky/Lemieux. the equivalent of that type of player today would be McDavid. you're asking for a similar return for Gaudreau. he is nowhere near that type of player. he is not even close to being a generational talent. what you proposed was outright stupid.

Ghost+Schenn+Myers+1st+Rubtsov... does not get you McDavid. Or even Eichel/Matthews/Ekblad.

It does get you into the conversation for a 23 year old likely Art Ross winner though.

Conversation though. Would depend how a given team values the two prospects.

Well, maybe. To be fair, Ghost is the one who just placed second in ROY voting as a first-season defenseman.

I don't disagree though that Reinhart needs to be looked at much more favorably in this thread, though.
