Lindblom 1+1 so far, top line of Eriksson Ek - Holmstrom - Lindblom is destroying us.

But that is not a surprise, Sweden has really great team there, compared to Czech.

Yup.

Beat Montembeault. Does a nice job selling the shot to walk in to a high percentage area. Not the first time either. Leads Q defensemen in goals (playing on the 2nd PP too). 7th among Q defensemen in points. With a little better luck he would be much higher. For as many minutes as he plays and for as many goals as Rouyn-Noranda scores, he should probably have more assists (and I'm still convinced 1 assist was a goal too). Kind of fluky I think. He moves the puck well.

Is he hurt? I am really baffled by this. There's no way a goalie of his pedigree and performance of late gets passed over like this unless he's dinged up or sick.

I don't know, there are no information about it from what I know. But yes the injury or sick would be the most understandable reason to why he hasn't played any game.

Maybe the coach needed to see other 2 goalies more... but then, why would he nominate Sandstrom for this tournament? To be the third goalie? That would be weird.
