Next game id go

Lafreniere - Zibanejad - Kakko
Panarin - Trocheck - Kravtsov
Kreider - Goodrow - Vesey
Blais - Carpenter - Reaves
Rearranging deck chairs on the titanic. Need to stop the leaks by players having accountability for their own performances. I don't think that exists right now. Some of these guys look like they think this group is just waltzing back to the conference finals. This is the learning I talked about where a team usually makes a run, stumbles, and then either gathers itself and responds or sinks from entitlement. Turk needs to shake the entitlement out of this group and not let it fester.

It doesn't matter as much as people here think. f***ing child millionaires need to deliver.
I have never been impressed by any shootout attempts from either Kakko or Lafreniere. Both their efforts looked disgustingly bad and uninspired. Each Av looked menacing. The attempts from those two and Mika were wet farts.

I'd have rather seen Panarin, Fox, and Kravtsov as my three until I know Zibanejad's hand is ok.

We have plenty of talent, but the issue remains, we're not doing the small things to win in a big enough way. Loads of turnovers at our own blue line. Soft puck management continues to be the biggest issue. We're not consistently winning board battles. In fact, I think when it comes to winning pucks and 1v1 we were being out dueled. Same with draws. Is it just a game where the details aren't there yet? I dunno. Both our goals were from 2ft out. But we didn't get hardly any rebound chances. The way you beat Georgy is shots to the net with traffic and rebounds. But this whole season, our ability to win battles and get inside and get to rebounds has been really poor. We need to start banging in some rebounds.

On the upside, the third line looked legit tonight.

The "kid" line was the disruptive line during the playoffs and it seems the first thing we've done is dismantle it. Agree with some of the other comments here that as soon as Chytil is back the Kids are reinstated.

For all the shit I give Kravtsov.... this is 100% the spot you put him in.

I do not understand how coaches struggle with simple decisions

Fox not going was criminal. Mika's attempt was even more criminal. I still don't know what it was.

Honest question, if Mika is not a fool and scores on Georgiev and we win the shootout, are all of the posts about how terrible this team is? I know I probably contributed to that too somewhere here so this includes myself.

+2 and the decoy on the game tying goal
Krav hasn’t gotten a game with better linemates than Goodrow & Vesey this season. Kreider has gotten plenty of opportunity and sucked. I’d give Krav a look with Panarin, promote Laf, demote Kreider for a game. We need to shake things up
Kreider scored 52 goals last year. What has Kravs done in the NHL?

wow he looks shitfaced.

they outshot and out corsi'd the best team in hockey. they win that game if Kreider wasn't lost at sea and/or if Gallant put literally anyone else maybe even Reaves out for the 4 on 3 in OT.

I'm guessing xG was in the Avs favor though. Igor made the more difficult saves. But yeah, anyone that watched that game and thought we got outclassed is out to lunch.

Probably sucked @EdJovanovski off.
