Krebs list as center in tonight's lineup. Between Jobst and R2.
and he got a point! let's leave it at that.
He'll have a lot of time in the video room after this one.
I know we want to let these guys simmer but I wouldn't be opposed to seeing him up in buff for a bit. He's probably ready now.Coach Appert said on The Instigators Overtime that Krebs played 27:30 for the game against LHV on 12/18. He also said he was dominant (along with Peterka) the next night against Hershey Bears.
(impressive for a 20 year old in the AHL)

I like keeping the 3 of them down there; they can all come up together next year.
They gotta earn it>They should stay in the AHL anyways> Pencil in 1/3 of the roster with prospects next season
....
I'd prefer to see a blue chip prospect getting overripe in ROC for a change, rather than the usual rushing we've seen over the last couple of years within the Sabres org.
When was the last time a franchise had success while also prematurely relying on their best prospects? Sure, it could be argued, if they are successful then it wasn't premature, but still. Deducting from recent cup winners, having a functional team first in which you insert your young players seems by far the most promising strategy.
Eh, I'd actually like to see them force themselves on the roster. I think its likely 1 or 2 of them make it....let them force their way on the roster rather than gifting spots though.
If Krebs, JJ, and Quinn continue to play like they are, they'll be better than the bottom 3 forwards next year. Their current production is sufficient to think they should be getting looks over some of the on-roster options.
Replacing Eakin, Hayden and Bjork with Peterka, Krebs, and Quinn should very much give them the sort of mismatch line that they once had with Roy's line during the co-captains era. For sure puts more skill into the lineup and if they can continue to work up the Quinn-Peterka tandem as PKers, excellent.

I for one am shocked that Eakin, Caggiula, and Hayden are UFA; what a coincidence.
