It's not like they had a ton of picks. In 2022, JVV may have been a bad pick but it doesn't matter, he served his purpose in getting the Petes a star via trade. McCallum is a very good 4th round pick, Rye in the 5th the jury is out but those were the first three picks because of trades.
Similar in 2021, the first five picks were Lardis, Lewis, Guo, Page, McCue. Lewis was obviously a swing and miss but the rest are pretty fine for where they were picked with McCue being a great 7th round pick.
2023 again, the first four picks were/are OHL players in Cameron, Cadorin, Ladds and Johnston. I think time will prove Ladds in round 5 a very good pick and I don't know if Cadorin is actually a bad pick or just Wilson nonsense.
