Should work out well for both teams. Lockhart is probably the more impactful player this season and that's what the Petes needed but Alfano is a very good player in his own right and brings an extra year of eligibility, some size etc... I hope he has a great season in Erie and if he gets his skating up, he could have a really bright future.
Sam Alfano has the makings of a good power forward and he will do well in Erie. I was sorry to see him go as I liked his style of play. I do look forward to watching Connor Lockhart play. He adds a bit more offence to our lineup than Alfano did.

What do you guys think about trading for Rosenzweig considering he’s the odd man out now in Niagara? (Flores traded there today from LDN)

I don’t hate it…..I love the idea of acquiring an experienced goalie with using up an OA spot. My only concern would be the potential for him rocking the boat in the Petes dressing room.

Any goalie that they trade for will be expected to share the net with/back up Simpson……be an insurance policy.
Rosenzweig was the #1 in Niagara last year and was expected to be the #1 this season.

Does he possess the type of character that will allow him to check his ego at the door and take only 50% of the starts at the very most?

hes not much different from tynan, good goalie on a bad team, not sure hes much better then simpson

but you have 2 #2 goalies then, not a #1. is that progress or more of the same? petes have 3 goalies signed already as well, why?
Rosenzweig is also not the odd man out in Niagara, he's their #1 goalie. Costanzo is the odd man out, but he's very much like Sztuska in the "completely unproven at this level" category, so wouldn't fit the Petes need for this season

Sounds like all of the following players from the past draft will be playing local with U18 Petes…

Easton Rye
Brody Partidge
Ethan Larmand
Owen Van de Ven
Dylan Woulds
Josh Frenette

Havent followed the 18U much. Is that league any good or will this team now dominate it?

Was there anything said about why Petrut missed camp? Eliteprospects has him playing midget in Buffalo this year. Is he hoping to go to college?

I believe…. Don’t quote me…. That his parents are in the military and whatever base they were being station at played a factor in where he was going to play this year. No idea if him not coming to camp is any indication on his ncaa interest.

He’s skilled enough to play and apparently his parents are fairly tall, he will likely grow.

Easy win over the Gnes today. Wasnt able to make it and the stream was pretty bad so didnt get too much of a watch but wil be there next weekend against Subury. Hopefully they play there top guys and we can get a better feel for what we are
Nevermind were playing no forwards today other than the top line of JVV Robertson Lockhart. All the D are regulars but its Struzka in net

At game. Third period about to start. Not pretty. Like the play of Purdeller though. Sudbury looks good this year and I’m not sure if this is their whole team.
Missing Musty, Villeneuve, Collins in terms of key players from the final roster, so pretty close overall.

Question from a Sudbury fan...How does Sam McCue look??
Scored a beauty in the first preseason game in a partial breakaway… has seen some PP time early. I like his willingness to mix it up physically and drive the net. He will be a good one.

Nice to see former Petes: Nick Robertson, Pavel Gogolev and SDA, lead the Leafs' prospects to a 6-2 win over the Stars in their first game at the Traverse City Prospect Tournament.
2 goals for SDA and 1 goal each for Robertson & Gogolev.
