Great series by the Petes whole key was they played very disciplined and won because they stayed out of box , proud of these boys, blocked ton of shots played fantastic ! GoPetes Go

The Petes have been crazy good in the 2nd period throughout the playoffs.
Of the 10 second periods they have played the Petes have won eight and tied two - WOW!
In those 2nd periods the Petes out-scored Sudbury/Ottawa by a total score of 17 to 5.

Barrie & North Bay heading to Game 7........we'll be back on the rollercoaster later this week :DD
Great job boys and staff

I was harsh on Rob Wilson because of his abuse/treatment of his players.

But tonight I saw him hugging his players and that touched my Grinch heart

Barrie or north bay if you had to choose? Think I’m going Barrie
I would prefer to play Barrie because are not very deep at forward. They do have a good defence and goaltending where as North Bay is very deep at forward, have a strong defence and have two very good goaltenders. It is hard to predict how the Petes will do against either team as they have not played Barrie post deadline and in the one game against North Bay they had players missing due to illness and injury.

Hey Peterborough fans, just wanted to congratulate you guys on the huge victory tonight.
The Petes were definitely the better and more consistent team this series. There was no question that the Petes deserved this series. Good luck in the next round (probably North Bay but I'd like to see Barrie as I am only 50 minutes north of them!) and I am sure you'll come out on top!

Thanks , I think you are a 67's fan, and just wanna say that the 67s showed class at handshake line last night - it's never easy to show love after losing to a team you were just trying to put through the boards lol. I noticed Dave Cameron did an "exit stage left" in the hand shake line right before he got to Coaches Verner and Wilson. Some wounds won't heal I guess.

I'd rather play Barrie next since NB has had our number this year. However the Petes are a different team right now so the East finals should be a good one either way.

He shook their hands first before the lineup. Immediately after the game ended

I just read in TheExaminer that Lockhart’s grandmother passed.
He did her extra proud last night (and every night)!
He is a true champion put his team first and played through his personal grief.
Total warrior

I also want to congratulate the Petes , they were an enigma most of the year but got things together in the playoffs. Close series but the Petes were the slightly better team. What I liked was it was a hard fought but clean series...the way hockey should be. Good luck.

67's fan? Ya I guess. Old habits are hard to break. Red white and black is engrained in my blood and I was a die-hard 67's back in the day but now so much. Truth is I stopped following junior hockey for while as I was in the States and stuff. I haven't lived in Ottawa for quite a while and we moved up here from Toronto last year. I wish we had an OHL here in Muskoka. Our population in the region is bigger than Owen Sound and yet they have a team for some reason? Bracebridge is thriving or even in Huntsville as there is a fairly new 3,000 seat arena that could be renovated to accommodate a new team.

I don’t even know if I can watch hockey like this

Hopefully both teams are gassed. Barrie has a lot less depth down the middle if Veirling is out

Petes-Battalion. LET’S DO THIS! Doesn’t matter who we line up against GO PETES GO!!

Power play may be key in this series north bay has scored 14 pp goals so far in the playoffs to the petes 5. Petes have too many good offensive players for their pp to not be better.

Yup North Bay has a killer PP with guys like MacDonald who never seems to miss with his one-timers in the slot. We will need to continue stellar defensive zone coverage and continue staying out of the penalty box. With lots of hustle and winning puck battles, we'll be fine. NB's defense is tighter than Ottawa's as well so we will need to capitalize on our scoring chances.
