Hey Wilson how has all your line juggling worked out? How has Beck and Lockhart been doing with Avon? Nothing, what is wrong with you? Avon , Robertson , and Lockhart had like 47 points combined on our 8 straight wins, big whoop we lost a couple games and you start changing the lines???

Why have you never tried Stillman with Beck and Lockhart?

Pressure from Mississauga continues - they beat North Bay in their own rink last night. Facing the fact that they could dip to 5th place might light a fire under the Petes.

The most important thing I saw last night was some evidence of brotherhood

FINALLY some brotherhood!

This team is packed to the gills with talent but as everyone has pointed out -we have to have chemistry.
I sit close to the bench and there was so much more chatter between players. After one of Othman’s goals he led the line down the bench and then out to Simpson.
I thought it was great that Othmann led his line down to Simpson to celebrate after one goal.

That happens after almost every goal in almost every agme. Am I missing something?

The run down the bench happens for sure every goal every game.

-never a parade down past our blue line to our goalie- to include the goalie in the celly.

Othmann was clearly been trying to be a team player/leader last night and it was very noticeable and to be honest, very needed. He was giving out stick taps and head taps like it was his job.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who's heard rumours of some egos clashing in the dressing room but if this team can come together, they can be so dangerous.

Beck is struggling. Let's hope that he can get it together. That was a bad and dangerous penalty he took in the third period and fortunately the Niagara player was not injured.
Look who hes playing with? And im not refering to Lockhart nice line Coach ?

It’s actually embarrassing to be losing to teams who sold at the deadline when you went all in these games shouldn’t be close this team wont make it past the second round

As a Kraken fan I was looking in the Prospects board for some information on Tucker Robertson but did not even find a thread created for him.

Would some of you fine folks be able to give some information on him? He seems to be producing fairly well this season but does he have much of an NHL potential in another 1-2 seasons?

Thanks.

2nd best player in the OHL.

It’s there.

Search feature on this site is broken. If you go to the prospect mega-thread sticky at the top - that’s the best way to find a particular prospect.

At this point, I'd have to agree. When they run up against a team that actually plays like a team, they'll be in tough. Still a few weeks to get it right, but it just seems like something is off and it might not get fixed. Definitely seems like too many egos, and too many players playing for themselves.

That being said, I expect a good one tonight. Sellout and I feel like they'll show up and have a good game tonight. Problem is, they do that for one game, then disappear the next...

Oh there’s no doubt they’ll show up and I’d bet they win but there’s no reason they should go into Kingston and lose by 3 goals against a team that’s full of young players

Random thoughts......

It was interesting that Wilson went back to Beck-Hayes-Othmann and Robertson-Avon-Lockhart in the 3rd period last night. Beck definitely seems off and it's hard to understand how all of this talent doesn't translate to more effective and consistent play.
I'm sure when these guys look around the room they understand the heightened expectations and it has to be frustrating when they know what they can do and then are having these results.

Should Wilson try the blender again?
Those top 6 haven't formed two lines that are both clicking at the same time yet.

When these lines have been used
Beck-Hayes-Othmann and Robertson-Avon-Lockhart
the bolded line struggled.

IMO Robertson's line will always be going.
Robertson is so good all-round that he raises the level of whoever he plays with.

Beck, on the other hand, has really struggled to connect with anyone yet.
Between the WJC and the game in Montreal he's really only been a Pete for a minute.

I don't think it's time to panic yet......the Petes still have 7 weeks and 20 games left after tonight.

Stillman is back tonight which gives the Petes a full lineup again......Purdeller has played well recently though.

I know Othmann scored a hat-trick the other night but he drives me crazy.
Why the between the legs passes?
If he is trying to surprise the opposition with the unexpected, I wish he would only do it close to the opposition's goal. And the pass back to Sztuska last night looked cool but wasn't necessary.

He may need to spend time on the 3rd line.

Speaking of which......would spreading Dubois, Stillman, Melee across the top 3 lines be too crazy?
I just think 3 lines who focus on playing well at both ends of the ice, wearing down the opposition and capitalizing on offensive opportunities when they arise might create more of a "team-like" atmosphere.

Beck - Avon - Stillman
Robertson - Melee - Hayes
Dubois - Othmann - Lockhart

They’re still short 2 forwards Melee and Dubois on a contending team are 4th liners both have under 20 points. After the top 2 lines the depth just isn’t there to go on any type of run

Hard to say Purdeller has played well when he hasn’t scored a goal in the last 22 games. I said this before on a contending team your 2 import players have to be really good if you’re gonna use 2 roster spots on them.

I agree with Melee and Dubois, but here we are.
How can these pieces be best arranged to be most effective?
