I thought there was a limit of like 5 games and then they have to send them back.Well, no Beck for the foreseeable future. Recalled by MTL on an emergency basis.
A CHL player on emergency basis isn't allowed to miss more than 1 game. So at most he could play 2 NHL games as he has to be back in PBO lineup for Feb 2nd vs Niagara. So will not be gone for the foreseeable future, he'll be gone for 1 game, against HamiltonWell, no Beck for the foreseeable future. Recalled by MTL on an emergency basis.
Agree Wilson a meat head?I am just going to through out a rant -
I am happy with the win and thrilled with our team -but I have to rant -
If I remember correctly ( please core me if I am wrong ) Earlier this season Ottawa was thumping us -in the third period Ottawa sent out their number one PP unit and Rob Wilson took exception to Dave Cameron doing that -
So what was Rob Wilson doing last night when it was 7-1 in the third?
Sending out his top PP unit -I don’t see the point here ? Especially since it was this behaviour from Ottawa that caused him to flip out-
I could understand if someone on our top unit was chasing a hat trick or some sort of game milestone -
Why wouldn’t he send out another line to try their hand at the PP? That was a great opportunity for another line to be out on the PP.
The hypocrisy bugs me -it’s ok for Peterborough to do it but not Ottawa ?
Also bugs me they didn’t try and further develop another PP unit.
Ok rant over -
Wilson panic lmaoI agree. Don't mess with the lines. That would be a dumb move, give them some time, let's not panic.
Arm pit of NHL organization lmaoNo thanks
Think about it why couldnt our staff figure out who was our better goalie last year? When I watch these games most of the time they show the bench it looks like Wilson saying nothing and Verner doing all the talking. Was it always this way? Has Rob shut up and let someoen else try or has this always been Verners team?
Worst ref in OHL Sean Reid, has always favoured visiting team , has something against Petes ! Loves suspending a Pete, amazing how we loose when he refs. Last night a London player punched a Pete in face after whistle Reid had his back to the play? Where are the so called convenors who rate these refs?Think Dubois is sick with flu. Thought refs were horrible. Good for Stillman not putting up with that crap in the corner. Never seen a ref blow the play dead with forward holding puck behind the net with no pressure
It was probably 2 games for the instigator in final 5 minutes and a game for the helmut misconduct.Stillman's suspension of 3 games seems excessive. Is that normal for an instigator.? But he should have held back a bit earlier in the "fight" but he kept going at the London player. Which is probably the rationale for the three games.
Dumb rule. Developmental league that suspends players way too often for very questionable assessments by the ref.It was probably 2 games for the instigator in final 5 minutes and a game for the helmut misconduct.
This incident could have been avoided if the Ref who was standing there watching had blown the play dead after a couple of cross checks by Leonard and assessed the two minute minor penalty. Stillman finally had enough and took matters in to his own hands. There is too much of this cross checking from behind allowed.Stillman's suspension of 3 games seems excessive. So you want the play blown dead as soon as an infraction occurs instead of waiting for the team that committed the infraction touches the puck? This incident could have been avoided if the Ref who was standing there watching had blown the play dead after a couple of cross checks by Leonard and assessed the two minute minor penalty. Maybe the NINE cross checks could be viewed as what instigated the fight...So you want the play blown dead as soon as an infraction occurs instead of waiting for the team that committed the infraction touches the puck?
That's not how it works. Players need to take responsibility for their own actions. Otherwise every penalty could be deemed as instigating.Maybe the NINE cross checks could be viewed as what instigated the fight...
That needs to change, maybe double minors to the one that initiates with cheap shots after each whistle and misconducts in the final 5 minutes. The twerps will not stop the multiple shots with gloves/stick high after the whistle otherwise. That's not how it works. Players need to take responsibility for their own actions. And what happens the first time a Pete's player is penalized? We don't need rule changes based on knee-jerk reactions. I really don’t care which player or team gets penalized for coaches instructing twerps to antagonize in chicken-shit fashion. One of my favourite moments in hockey was the crack of Strome’s jaw from a Silk punch to the mouth. And what happens the first time a Pete's player is penalized? I don't wish harm on anyone. Not sure why anyone would wish harm on a teenaged hockey player.I really don’t care which player or team gets penalized for coaches instructing twerps to antagonize in chicken-shit fashion. Watch a half dozen ‘67s games, then tell me you were not hoping for facial reconstruction for Foster, Stonehouse, …
