They missed him on those late game defensive zone faceoffs. And I like Purdeller but he's not a centre and it showed tonight.
The goal song is "Hold the Line" by Toto, I'm guessing you're asking about something else.
Think Dubois is sick with flu. Thought refs were horrible. Good for Stillman not putting up with that crap in the corner. Never seen a ref blow the play dead with forward holding puck behind the net with no pressure
He took such a beating and was brutally folded into the boards, I don't know why Leonard acted so shocked the response was several fists to the face.
It's dumb that the slew foot that was barely a penalty results in an ejection, that hit by Leonard will be 2 and nothing more and Stillman likely gets a game or two but you know that's the end result.
We should all be talking about Michael Simpson first though. What a performance tonight.

It was a much more focused Petes team that took to the ice tonight vs London.
Wilson wanted them to play more like a team and they did – they were much more connected.
When they had the puck the passes were crisp and when they didn’t have the puck they pressured the Knights and played physical.
Simpson made 35 saves for the shutout and I bet the Petes blocked another 35 shots as well.
They won 41 of 57 face-offs (72%) including 9 of 11 for Purdeller.
Only two real concerns
Don’t get too high on yourselves boys…….it’s just one game and London was missing Bonk and Barkey.
Win or lose you can always learn. Hopefully the Petes can build some momentum now.
It will be weird with Lardis and Panwar in town with the Bulldogs on Sunday and for Hayes and White as well.

Only two real concerns
- Discipline - London had 5 PPs compared to 2 PPs for the Petes. The two 1st period penalties mentioned by @Square Corners above were not good but the slash by Othmann just inside the London blue-line on the forecheck when the Petes were leading 1-0 in the 3rd was so frustrating. Petes killed all five tonight but that will come back to bite them at some point in the future if they don't reign it in.
- Puck management…..especially on the PP!! The Petes have two PP units that are loaded with talent and they know it. I’m sure they feel an urgency to make something happen. This has led to risky passes, turnovers and chances against. Tonight, 20 seconds before Hayes scored on the PP to make it 2-0, the Petes turned it over near their own goal and MacKinnon had a great chance to tie the game.

He definitely won't get anything for that, but I'm interested to hear why you think he should. That was clearly on Leonard who cross checked him in the back/neck like 5 times straight before Stillman finally turned around and fed him. Couldn't believe after the fight Leonard acted shocked that Stillman kicked his ass. What did he think was going to happen when he cross checked him so many times? He was clearly trying to start a fight but then was shocked when he did?

I just read this post in red above from @Generalsupdates over on the London thread and I had to post it here.
I'm not sure if hell has frozen over or not but maybe GU's recent "time-out" has rehabilitated him and we will now see a kinder, gentler poster when it comes to comments about the Petes. I'm sure he felt shame before he was set free.

The Petes were #1 in GU's dysfunctional franchise rankings on Twitter like a day ago and out of nowhere they were calling out the U16 Petes on the weekend.
GU is actually pretty reasonable about games not involving the Generals for the most part IMO (and obviously doesn't pretend to be anywhere close to neutral where they're involved), the Peterborough trolling will never really go away though and that's fine.

nothing on OHL site yet. A good effort by the Petes last night especially with all the blocked shots. Guys were literally diving in front of shots. Hayes' first goal was a real ripper, one of the best snipes I have seen in a long time. Konnor Smith looked good last night, has surprising speed at times. With more confidence over the next few years, he can become a top d-man in this league. And Jonathan Melee is one of our most underrated two-way players and showing signs of more confidence with the puck.
Correct. Not the goal song, but after the goal announcement is made, there are two short beeps.

Anyway after last night’s effort -I LOVE STILLMAN!!!!

He never gave up and I thought he played a great game.
I have to admit, initially I thought poorly of him because I thought we overpaid -but he is coming along and doing so much better.
I see a drastic improvement

I'm really glad that they dumped that Kanye song when opposing teams got a penalty..."Guess who's going to the jail tonight". Ugh. I assume that they abruptly stopped playing it because of Kanye's recent embrace of Hitler.
Having said that my son said a few games ago that another Kanye song was playing.

Mayer, Spearing, White and McCoy/Zanetti seem to pretty consistently be the top 4. So the other one of McCoy/Zanetti and then whoevers playing between Smith/Gauvreau would be my 3rd pair
