The Guo trade could be a bad one. He isn’t perfect but there’s some real high upside there imo. I would’ve liked to at least see a 2nd come back.

Sounds like we just missed out on Jackson Stewart. Partially why we made the Guo trade to get the picks

Another left winger to bump melee down would have been nice. That line is kinda meh Stillman needs someone who can get him the puck to me he’s wasted on the third line for the price they paid to get him

But likely Guo wanted out to where he can get more ice time. Hard to keep everyone happy. i liked his play recently.
Now that I think about, I think it has to do with playing time. When Zanetti comes back, Guo would be the 7th d and its understandable why he wouldn't want that. Its his draft year as well and although he probably didn't want to leave a contending team, he has to worry about his own career

I think they might roll 7 d a lot of nights that 4th line is barely gonna see the ice

Jackson Stewart would have been a nice depth add but I'm not gonna get hung up on a guy with 11 points in 73 career games played. Mike Oke did a fantastic job this deadline and I am confident that this team can play with the best of the best and is a real threat

Jackson Stewart is basically Page with more size nothing to get hung up about. If Melee can start playing like a second round pick then I don’t mind the third line. It would be ideal if Purdeller was left handed and you could slot him in the third line. Oke did a great job if there was on thing I say he missed out on it’s not upgrading Spearing I’m sure he could of moved him for one of Niagara’s right handed d man

Niagara’s 7 out 8 dmen are right handed and Petes are mostly left handed still think a Spearing plus picks for someone would have made total sense but seeing as he’s captain I never thought they would move him

Would've liked another D-man but Petes still have as good of a roster in the East as anyone else so they can win this whole thing if they play well in the playoffs. 4 good teams in the East so the games wont start until the 2nd round of the playoffs. Wilson has until then to get the team going the rtight direction

Hopefully giving that third line of Melee-Dubois-Stillman consistent reps can unlock some more potential especially for Melee. I really like that line and if Stillman can stay close to ppg and Melee and Dubois keep improving, we will be in a great spot. There's just something about that line that feels like to me it could take off

They’ll have to be given consistent reps. The top 3 lines are very right handed heavy it’s too bad purdeller wasn’t a lefty unfortunately for him he’s not gonna see much ice at all

Other thing they could have done is moved Spearing and let gavreau take his spot and then keep panwar for the third line Centre. Have leskovar as your 7th dman

Melee-Dubois-Stillman was very good vs Owen Sound on Saturday. Melee is improving a bit every game. Sad to see Guo leave Ptbo , he was reliable and handled the puck well. He wasn't very dynamic though. I have no idea if Gauvreau is an upgrade but I would think his alleged toughness will be an upgrade in playoffs.

Thats an interesting comparison. Stewart is super physical. I dont see that in Pages game. Maybe he wants to play liek that. But far too small to actually effectively do that. Dont expect our 4th line on the ice very much if its Page-Lefevbre-whoever with the top 9 the way it will be

I just don’t see where Stewart would have fit he’s not really ideal for the third line I like Melee there more he has more offensive upside. The whoever on the fourth line will be purdeller unfortunately he’s not gonna see much ice

Yeah probably 4th line, just there for a physical presence. He'd be sent out if they felt someone was taking liberties on the top 6 guys. Probably best that we didnt get him as Wilson has nevre shown hes capable of keeping those players from crossing the line

Now it’s just about staying ahead of Barrie and avoiding Ottawa second round although North bay is no slouch either

Does anyone know what’s going on with Zach Lewis?

That is not very much of a scoring line, but it is a well above average 3rd line/checking line imo. It will be difficult to play against to say the least.

Hes a physical/fighter type? I never seen him play
Yeah, though not nearly on a Guryev level. He is safe, good enough not to hurt your team.
