Justin Schultz was damn near 1.5 PPG in the AHL.
Yeah, but he's an Oiler. Yuck!
Justin Schultz was damn near 1.5 PPG in the AHL.
And Schultz is an NHL player. Sure, he hasn't done as well as everyone had hoped but he's still a #4 offensive defensive man/ PP specialist
I've told you this before - the Flames don't have an AHL player like Brad Hunt to take offensive zonestarts and QB the powerplay. Hunt can't make an impact at the NHL level, but he's a healthy Kris Letang in the AHL. Guys like Simpson and Oesterle see more defensive zone time and less powerplay time because Hunt is there.
Because they don't have a Brad Hunt, it opens up opportunity for guys like Culkin.
Marincin turned 23 this year lolMarincin put up 30 points in 69 games as an AHL rookie (0.43ppg) and it never translated to the NHL. I think you guys are going to be really disappointed if you think all or even half of those 4 d prospects become impact NHLers

Everyone should just bow down to the Great Edmonton First Rounders and concede defeat. All our non first round defenseman are replacement level just because theirs are.

Minus McSavior Winnipeg has better prospects than Edmonton , it will be interesting .....
he was scoring at three times the rate of the likes of Culkin and Kulak, and hasn't fully established himself as a top 4 defenceman. Development isn't linear and you can't look at a guy like Kulak and say he's better than Oesterle, Simpson, Davidson, etc because he's scored a few more points on the back end for a much worse team.
No, they're lower because that's what statistically happens. Every team thinks their prospects are the diamonds in the rough.

He also played on a practically illegal AHL team with Draft+3 Hall, Draft+2 Nugent Hopkins, Draft+5 Eberle.
And kulak/Culkin's offense is the last of what makes them fantastic prospects.
When did we say we expect them to be NHLers? Holy hell, all I said was that Hockey has a possibly of cracking the 1st round in his draft class.
You guys are whack as **** man!
We get it. They're all going to be top pairing D and Calgary is going to have 6 top pairing D on their team.

Wow you guys literally cant stop **** posting
Thank you for putting words into his mouth.
It was sarcasm, glad you missed that. The poster I quoted overhypes your prospects to a ridiculous degree, while failing to acknowledge that most teams have similar depth prospects with the same type of upside. If you can't see that from the 2000+ posts that he's accumulated in the last 6 months, then I don't know what to tell you.
You're all getting way too sensitive, the post was directed at him not your entire fan base. Time to relax.
Notice how I said "if you think". Maybe I wasn't referring to you specifically? There are fans from your fan base who talk about a lot of them like they are all but guaranteed to hit their ceiling, while other teams prospects of similar quality are just average. Every team has prospects like the ones you are talking about, and none of them are top prospects in the league.
