Me on toppings. "Cannot eat onions" anymore, they just throw my digestive system in reverse then back forward, and reverse again, now. Pepperoni is just horrible, too.

Mushrooms, peppers (green/red), black olives. Some days just veggie is great.
^^EXTRA CHEESE^^

Buffalo chicken with hot sauce replacing tomato sauce. I hate when they slap ranch on it. Blue cheese, okay, but I'd prefer it on the side.
Philly steak without onions
Barbeque chicken
Meatball

The only way I truly will do crust is if there's a dipping sauce. Mainly blue cheese.

I can do just about any cheese. I'm a big cheese guy.

None of my family eats what I want so I have to get my own. They are always half cheese half pepperoni.... Bleh.. Works out though, great for lunches at work the next day.

Tbh. Pizza doesn’t need topping. Cheese slice reigns supreme.

Cheese slice you say?

Make fun of hipster pizza all you want, but Spak Bro's in the east end is where it's at.

Back on that Sunday before Labor Day I was with some friends getting beers at the brewery next to Spak. We needed food and pizza was suggested. I wanted to try to Spak Bro's but my friend insisted we order delivery from Caliente.

Anyway, I had some hipster pizza from Spirit last Friday night.

Spak Bro's is good and they have terrific chicken parm as well. I'd throw out Pizza Palermo as my go-to Pittsburgh pizza place as well.

I feel like someone of you need this advice: "Never marry a woman who thinks Olive Garden is fancy."

That said, New York-style pizza is the only correct answer when debating which style reigns supreme. The idea is to maximize surface area for quality toppings. If you don't want that, it means you have shit sauce, shit cheese, shit toppings, and, therefore, shit pizza.

Cheese only can reign supreme but only if it's a fresh, blended variety. The stuff that most places get, no bueno alone.

Chicago style is an insult. Detroit style is okay sometimes.

And just so you kids know, the only truly acceptable restaurant chain pizza that is appropriate to admit you like...is the old-school Big Foot Pizza from Pizza Hut. Some of you may be too young for that.

How do y'all like pizza without tomato sauce?
One of the best pizzas I ever had in my life was in Gillette, WY.

Regular crust, pesto and olive oil-based sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, and a couple rings of super fresh cream cheese. Brick oven fired. They were serving it at some brewery. Shit beer, top-notch pizza.

a block from my house, order often just because want to support them but it wouldn't be anywhere close to the top. Caliente really has the best standard pizza in this part of the town, otherwise Mercurio in Shady Side has second best pizza (bianca or margarita) the best one being chicken brocolli that my wife makes

that friend of yours would be my soulmate when it comes to pizza

The city counsil in my hometown responded to the news that they were putting an Olive Garden in as part of a plaza complex with a standing ovation. I wish I were joking.

Bonus points: this region has a large population of Italian Catholics lol

Chicken on pizza is my absolute favorite kind of pizza, but it's hard to get a place that is actually good at it. When I lived in Pittsburgh, I got buffalo chicken pizza from Frank's and it was terrific.

I've had gripes about this before, but pizza in Seattle is absolute crap.
So true. Seattlites here in Bellingham were celebrating the opening of Zeek's here. Zeek's sucks, something is wrong with those folks. Huge disappointment, not even top five in a fairly small city. One small compliment though- they feature Flatiron red pepper flakes. Small company out of Colorado. Once you've tried Flatiron, you'll never waste time and palate on shit generic pepper flakes. Life is too short. Amazon sells a variety pack. You are welcome.

There's also a certain kind of person that goes to city council meetings though...

@Peat once said pizza was overrated. I miss you Peat but never come back.

I'm sure he didn't REALLY mean it.

Besides he comes from the land of... like... boiled organ meats stuffed with coagulated blood. Give him some time, man.

EDIT: Also he didn't actually go anywhere so we're about to get a stern talking-to lol
