I'd watch if this was Sullys last game, but lol we are the only team in the NHL that keeps their coach when they suck.
Even the broadcasting crew are pointing out simple fundamentals that the team hasn’t grasped since game 1 like traffic to the net and the various PP struggles. Even they can’t sugarcoat it any more. There’s team issues but this coaching staff is done.

Maybe at the end of the season. I might watch just in case...nothing better to do currently.

The thing is, you might be right about there not being enough juice left.

But there's only one way to be sure about that and that is to fire the coach and see if the team still sucks after doing so.

But they refuse to do it.

Maybe they do suck and maybe replacing Sullivan doesn't do jack shit. But you have to f-ing try. Otherwise, what are we even doing here?
If this was a couple years ago I'd agree. But guys have visibly declined. Malkin is cooked. It's over. Time to rebuild.

It's fascinating to see how awful Harkins is yet he still plays, until I realize that there's a guy like this every year on their 4th line

Harkins is going to join the Colton Sceviour group of "forgotten shitty 4th liners who played too much" players after this year.

Harkins needs to dial up the heat on himself even further and start having coffee with Mike Sullivan and rat out his teammates when they make disparaging remarks. Then he'll truly be in Gladams territory

I don't think so, the goalless streak is going to be talked about for quite some time.

If he somehow pots 1-2 that will change. But he will live in infamy if it stays at 0.

If we’re done we need to call up Hellberg and sign Sparks to an NHL deal and do a proper tank. Like when the Caps called up Yeats down the stretch in 04.
They should have claimed cal off waivers

If the pick is lower than 11 is it automatically protected or do we have the choice of sending it to SJ? Like if it’s 3 we hold it but if its 8 would we be able to send it?

It sounds like we have the option to send it.

Personally unless it's top 5 I'm sending it. We are going to be horrendous in 2024-2025.

The funny thing about "just sell" too is like half the guys on this team have modified no trades or nmcs. Or are signed for too much and too long.

Good luck trading Rakell and getting any takers. They probably would actually get takers for Rust but Dubas is apparently too much of a coward to ask him to waive.

Smith/Jake should have some value and thankfully no hurdles when it comes to moving them. Jarry also has a 12 team NTC so moving him might not be that easy even if they wanted to.

Graves probably isn't getting moved a season into his contract. Don't see Dubas having the balls to even try that.

MP is moveable but I doubt he brings back the assets that we'd all hope. Might be more valuable to actually keep.

Eller should bring back a second and there's zero reason to keep him into next season.
