Yeah, honestly I don’t understand that. The only thing I can think of is that he’s not sure he wants to play here…
Unless he suddenly becomes a NCAA player he literally has no choice.

I hate entitled players. Hopefully he's not one of them.Yeah, honestly I don’t understand that. The only thing I can think of is that he’s not sure he wants to play here…
Why? He can inform the Pens he has no intention of signing here and play anywhere that will have him, including Sweden, KHL etc…he can force the Pens to trade his rights…Unless he suddenly becomes a NCAA player he literally has no choice.
Brainwash them young huh? i'd never say that when I was a kid over a rivalry jersey, probably because I was a team hopper jumping from Canadian team to Canadian team until 95 when I watched Mario.UFA's seeing the Penguins calling:

If that were the case however I doubt he'd show up to rookie camp two years in a row and training camp last year. Why? He can inform the Pens he has no intention of signing here and play anywhere that will have him, including Sweden, KHL etc…he can force the Pens to trade his rights…
Imagine a player doing that how much of an entitled brat you start thinking this guy is. It's the league you dream of playing in but "nope, don't wanna play there". You're lucky to get a chance to play in the NHL.Why? I doubt it for the reasons I stated above. He's been here every opportunity he could. Rookie camp, the rookie tourny, training camp then this years rookie camp.I hate entitled players. Hopefully he's not one of them.
I meant in general, I hate that shit.I doubt it for the reasons I stated above. He's been here every opportunity he could. Rookie camp, the rookie tourny, training camp then this years rookie camp.
If he didn't want to be here why does he keep showing up?

Darn...I guess we have to give Nieto, Eller, and Acciari away for next to nothing now! We’re at max contracts now.
Yeah, we're at or near the limit. Gotta move somebody out. We’re at max contracts now.
At least I'm not a Caps fan.Sounds a lot like the attitude of user Ryder71 when Sid won’t leave PIT
IF we don't sign him he CAN go back into the '25 draft. If the plan is to already send him back to WHL, is there any positive to signing him to the ELC? They are three years. Sign now and one is burned. If we wait until next summer, that saves him an ELC year, no?
Cutter Gauthier just did that in January lol…Imagine a player doing that how much of an entitled brat you start thinking this guy is. It's the league you dream of playing in but "nope, don't wanna play there". You're lucky to get a chance to play in the NHL.
Junior eligible players do not count towards the 50 contract limit unless they play more than 9 NHL games. We’re at max contracts now.
Ryder should have posted better, smdh.Unless he suddenly becomes a NCAA player he literally has no choice.
I mean, we won't, but don't threaten me with a good time!Darn...I guess we have to give Nieto, Eller, and Acciari away for next to nothing now!

Not at all actuallyIf the plan is to already send him back to WHL, is there any positive to signing him to the ELC? They are three years. Sign now and one is burned. If we wait until next summer, that saves him an ELC year, no?
If there was any indication he would sign, I think we'd have already seen a Yager for McGroarty swap.I doubt it for the reasons I stated above. He's been here every opportunity he could. Rookie camp, the rookie tourny, training camp then this years rookie camp.

Yea that's the only possible reason. Good as gone imo.Yeah, honestly I don’t understand that. The only thing I can think of is that he’s not sure he wants to play here…
Usually these ELCs come with some sort of signing bonus that allows the player to hire a chef or nutritionist. Other than that, no real reason to sign them early. If Yager is signed now, his ELC would slide a year wouldnt be used up until he plays 9 games in the NHL or plays in the AHL.If the plan is to already send him back to WHL, is there any positive to signing him to the ELC? Really is a damn shame. Could have all been so easily avoided.Yea that's the only possible reason. Good as gone imo.
All because of Ryder too.
The good thing about the last couple of pages of this thread is now I want them to win even more, just to spite Pix. I'm not sure they will, in fact it's 50% at best. I don't even like Kyle Dubas. But LFG, guys.
