Lol why should Sullivan's place in franchise lore be "safe"?

Yinzers got some Chuck Noll brain disease here.
"I'm not saying he should be fired but the coaches need to be held accountable."

What the f*** does this even mean? "Hey bud you've sucked shit since you won a round in 2018. But uhhhh, yeah, just thought I'd mention that. No pressure though. Keep on keepin' on, Mike."

How the f*** is this guy living with himself?

How is he not spitting in the mirror first thing in the morning when he brushes his teeth?

This is a travesty, he’s f***ing acting and he’s being paid like an upper tier actor for it…

Edit: I really didn’t think I will ever hate anyone more than Dan Abysmal, and here we are.
My take has been - 'if you are on the telly, you are an actor/actress'... as in you have a script to read / follow. If they don't follow the script, goodbye. So of course HCMS is just a lackey saying magic words people like to hear so FSG can still sell tickets, merch, nachos, etc.

Most difficult thing to believe is that Sid would really throw his late career into the bin to stay with this team to accomplish .... this. Any other recent examples of a team keeping 3 or so aged out stars rather than take the picks/youth in the name of competitiveness?

Yuck. 🤮 Still not watching with interest in the future until HCMS is gone. Just tune in for the laughs and humor.

It is fascinating to see Yohe even discussing coaching issues though. That's really interesting. Might actually be Sully's final season here after all. (Still doubt they fire him in-season though)

It would be funny if Sullivan got fired and the very same day all the ownership bros blacked out their profile pics, post a buncha Dashboard Confessional and Hawthorne Heights songs and started answering all interview questions with "life is shit... whatever."

If Yohe is actually calling for the Pens to consider a coaching change what are the odds it's because he thinks it would be better for Sully, not for the Penguins.

Also, I'm sorry, but I don't personally buy this new talking point that he has always been some imposter that lucked into two cups. He definitely pushed some of the right buttons, including on-ice systems, that create those opportunities. What happened then is what happens sometimes, he got ass-deep in his own success and refused to acknowledge that as team make up changes, sometimes game plan has to change along with it.

I think that like nearly all coaches he was simply the right guy at the right time. I think he absolutely did some good things and I won't take that away from him. But I will say that outside those two (obviously very important) years... his track record is kinda shit.

Turin is the type that thinks HR is responsible for not giving him a pay increase and forcing him to take compliance training.

I think we call them "idiots" in our field.
HR is just an easy target because literally everybody hates them in every field for a myriad of reasons, don’t get too worked up about it I know it is your wont.

Dealing with HR is the same as dealing with any manager or, more accurately, any coworker. As long as you remember that their primary concern is their own ass and not yours and act accordingly, you'll be fine.

Sure, this is fair. He gets credit for the good things just as much as he should get the blame for the horsepuck. Which basically backs up the predominant point we are all making: no coach in this league is Scotty Bowman right now....and holding on to one who's time is obviously past is malpractice of a fairly high order.

Don't worry, everyone.

They play the Wings, Blue Jackets, and Sharks next. They're almost as bad as the Pens, so if they try real hard, they could come away with 3 wins and we can put this coach being fired nonsense to bed once and for all.

Speaking of HR, with whom can i lodge a statment about the fact that I do not know either Jones or Miocic and I don't need them repeatedly glaring angrily at me while I'm trying to read online strangers' opinions about my favorite shitty hockey team?

I mean, I'd be on board for keeping him if he had to do a humiliating interpretive dance recap of the game on tiktok every time we lost. Good for our socials, good for my soul.

But what else would they do to hold him accountable? Dock his pay? Lol.

Keep being mad about HR on the internet. It fits you.
HR ass is when they have a dumper that looks bangin' in Ann Taylor Loft.

It's weird that those 1.5 seasons are held up as evidence of genius coaching where 8+ seasons of bad-to-mediocre coaching are just sort of forgotten about.

the only thing that will save sullivan's job is a miraculous turnaround and that's not happening. realistically he should be canned by christmas, crosby has enormous influence and if his point per game record that he *REALLY* wants is in jeopardy you can bet your ass he's gonna voice some displeasure behind the scenes. some ways we should trade crosby away for a king's ransom and start the rebuild in earnest. As much as I would hurt inside to see another sweater on him it would be better for him and the organization.
