I would rather him say that the absolute shit effort that real people paid real money to watch was unacceptable yea.
THIS is of real concern. If the team gives up after 2-0, how can that not be on the coach?

My take...
- that game sucked big time. Not just because they lost, but because it was over 10 minutes in. Those bone headed passes across reeked of minimal effort, confusion, and just plain not knowing how to play hockey.

- Gryzlyk: he seems to have some offensive skills but not what we need. This one is on you Dubas!
- Letang: don't know what his issue is.
- Rust/Bunting: WTH is Malkin the one chasing pucks when you have these 2 on the wing on that line????

According to DK, Dubas has sent note out that everybody except Crosby is available, but they want players, not futures. Wonder if that is true or not.

Would you rather him say the roster is shit and "I am happy to lead the tank?"
One could argue that this is actually one of the best rosters the Penguins have ever iced.

Top to bottom there is not one guy that people would look at and be like "he is terrible and shouldn't be in the NHL", except for Rust.

Usage, deployment, plus lack of a working system can turn a good team into what we see now.

Karlsson was THE Sharks offense two seasons ago, do you think he magically forgot what he was doing?

he must of misheard. now if he said "they want futures not players" i would believe him. and unless there were a bunch of players that waved their "no trade" contracts, he's making it all up.

"We assumed the 2024-25 Capitals were all about one individual's chase for a record. The team looks legit, and Carbery deserves credit for the group buy-in," another Carbery voter explained….

This was from an ESPN story about early award nominees…see coaches and management in hockey outside of the Pens believe coaching makes a difference lol…

Also, man , this is dangerously close to Yohe calling for Sullivan’s firing lol

“• Is Mike Sullivan the right man to coach this team? It’s a valid question. Something isn’t working regarding the message from Sullivan’s staff and the team. I hold Sullivan in the highest regard as a man and coach. He’s great. His place in franchise lore is safe. But is this a well-coached team? It sure doesn’t look like one.

It’s time Dubas talked with Sullivan. I’m not saying Sullivan should be fired. I’m saying the coaching staff needs to be held accountable because what we are watching isn’t acceptable.”

His already pea-sized brain has gotten even smaller??

He’s been garbage for years. We should have moved on from him yeeeears ago.

B..But “Big 3” or whatever. :shakehead :shakehead :shakehead

Maybe if we jettison #58 into the sun, EK will smarten up??

If not…get rid of him too. :dunno:
That may make sense. Note that EK & Burns didn't mesh well together either. It's possible/probably EK coming here did the same to Letang?

I mean Letang did become 2nd fiddle big time. He's thrown off the PP all the time. Even though he is theoretically a pro, it probably does/did affect him.

I should have continued...
His statement was something around the lines of what was promised to Crosby during the extension. That he wouldn't be in the middle of a tear down full rebuild.

Dubas is stupid if he did that. Cause i think Crosby could tolerate Letang trade or EK. But Malkin? You might as well trade Crosby as well, cause he will not stay if Malkin leaves.
Yeah..I'm aligned with you.

Malkin has not been the the problem, even in the slightest. Even against the Stars, he was clearly doing what he could!

I think Dubas is looking for a change of blood in the locker room, which I don't disagree with. I suspect his trade message was specifically for Letang/EK without saying names.

I wouldn't be surprised if Petts is on that list as well.
Gryz too, but he's not getting us anything.
