There's been reports, credible (meaning not just Yohe or Rossi), of the team being steadfast in 6x3 and Geno's camp unflinching at 6x4. Earlier today, it's reported, again credibly, that the team relents and offers him a 4 year deal akin to Letang's $6 million AAV--yet Geno's camp turned it down and publicly stated negotiations are off and he'll be testing his options in FA.

How does anyone view that whole thing and come away with anybody but Geno's camp being at fault if/when he walks? Because Hextall didn't fall prostrate in front of Geno and his agent and beg him to sign a blank check?
