Some people simply lack the foresight and the understanding that we have to ice a team beyond the next couple of years. They want it all and they want it now! They believe in fables and the inane notion that this team is still a legit cup contender. They probably chase after windmills as well. No joke!

Realistically there’s probably nothing that we could realistically do that would see us win another cup in the next few years (it’s hard to win) so keep trying to draft and find some young talent in trade where we can.

BUT we’re kind of in that balancing act right now where we need to be competitive and make playoffs just because we still have game breakers and if other parts click well enough we could go deep. Getting to the ECF these days seems wide open for playoff teams.

Execution of these ideas is a different story though so we wait (impatiently ) …….. <To Be Continued>

And Geno is still a 1C playing 2C. And now we can get him at possibly ~ 3 mil less

I mean there's a thousand reports out of this and that, who knows what to believe. If the deal is anywhere between 6-6.5 per, thats a 3 mil paycut. That's a goddamn steal. Trocheck isn't taking a dime less than 5 and I'd imagine closer to 5.5. So get one more player and there's line 2. Trocheck instead of Geno does nothing to improve this team. And you may think regardless of what they do, they are screwed. Which is fine. But humor the fact they think they are contenders. If they indeed are going for it, in an either or scenario, Geno > Trocheck for the next 2-3 years.

Or they can make a 'splash' and sign Kadri for 8 mil per and play Kap on L2. Which, lol. Or they can just think Trocheck is the guy. Which. ugh. I hope Tro signs at 12:01 elsewhere just for the lols.
