These Trades happening Now GeniusOMG the Marino and Matheson trades were both in-conference?
Whatever shall we do?
I don't like Duclair as a trade target much, but it seems like Calgary isn't rebuilding/retooling. I don't know that they'd take futures for Hanifin like I'd want to do.
Why would you ever want to trade 14th for askarov? Lol. Insane.
Duclair is basically Bryan Rust with muscle. So I wouldn't mind him if we traded Rust. Has the same bad traits as Rust(Poor vision, bad passer, bad defensively) but at least he is stronger and more physical.
Askarov is a young goalie, he isn't helping.Because Askarov himself was an 11th overall pick that has progressed nicely over the last 3 years.
Any sort of prospect you pick at #14 isn't going to be a better prospect than Askarov.
Duclair isn't similar at all to Rust

Duclair and Rust are very similar. Speedy tunnel visioned, inconsistent goal scoring wingers who are poor defensively.
Have you seen Duclair play?
Rust is certainly that player and has been for the last 3 seasons.I'm more critical of you describing Rust that way than Duclair that way.
That is what Duclair is. Rust isn't that player.

Poor 5v5 offensive game, has no vision and is a sloth defensively when he's with Crosby.
Duclair is at least more dynamic.
Both have the best trait of scoring off the rush from attacking Dmen at the point.
You’re right. Vegas definitely had a 2nd rounder on the table but chose the worse offer just to send him out of conferenceWrong ! look at all trades that have happened
I'd still keep Zucker if that wouldn't take much from our other needs. But Granlund... yeah, absolutely jettisoned into the sun, sooner rather than later please.I hope Zucker walks and Granlund is jettisoned into the sun, tbh. Before and after the Smith news.
Yes, he was good last year. But awful the year before that, and awful this year. The Rust dogpiling has gotten asinine. The past 3 seasons?
He was almost, or at least borderline rational for a bit. I found it disturbing, yet fascinating, and almost allowed myself a little bit of hope.He was actually excited for Dubas, then I think pixies pulled him back into the abyss in recent days, haha.
I would agree. But I don’t think I’d be upset if Dubas could pull off a Grzelyck/Ullmark package eitherRather have Gibson than Ullmark.
He's gonna move it back to get a first + second and restock that cupboardMOVE THE 1ST DUBAS
