Goaltending and a much better puck moving defense…
Bruins picked up a goalie that has barely much of a track record and he's put up insane numbers. Funny enough I'm sure Jarry will go off and do the same elsewhere with a massive rebound.

Any new goalie that comes in, will likely end up the same way as Murray and Jarry. This system is straight up trash.

I'm assuming you weren't around for Gen X?

Not just you but I think a whole generation will probably follow suit with you because they never seen losing hockey and would not be used to it.
Those of us who witnessed the Peter Lee/Hartland Monahan/Andrew McBain/Gary Rissling/Mario Faubert/Marc Chorney/Micki DuPont/Joe Melichar etc. etc. etc. days would caution the OP that, as bad as today's gutless performance and this overall train wreck of a season are, it can (and just might) get far worse. Maybe the ledge isn't a bad idea....

Maddenly frustrating how this team loses games they should be winning. Squandered away a chance at the first wildcard spot.
For as many times as that was said this year about them losing games they should win… maybe the results of those games were exactly right.

I still don't think this team's suffering from an effort issue--outside of like, Rust.

This team just f***ing sucks when it all boils down to it. Not much separates them from the bottom feeders of the league except for the talent of Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin.

We won games this team had no business winning either by goaltenders or otherwise, then we lost games our offense had no business going dry in. In all of this we lacked team speed because of the system, not players. They play slow. They don't have slow players. The weird usage of Doc.

Kapanen was misused for a long time. The defense is clueless and the forwards barely know how to help out. Rust belonged on the third line but barely sniffed it. They barely tried to split up Sid And Jake because stats. Barely any youth got a fair shot from wbs.

They can fire Hextall and the assistant gms and another set of assistant coaches and the shit will still remain the same.

JR was here, Sully did the same shit.

Immediately after the cups when Tocchet left and Sullivan had time to really put his system and stamp on the team, they started to play slower and slower even with almost the same roster for a while.

I like how the Pens media is now making it entirely Hextall's fault when this team hasn't won a f***ing playoff round since 2018. That predates Hextall.

Chaps??

Nope…thank Christ.
Missing out, it's like two pasty steamed bao buns with some lint.

Jake's been putting up the points but I swear he's been inviable since that shoulder injury. Dude was so dynamic but he's kind of just there nowadays
Jake produces. But he won't be the one to throw the team on his back and win you a game with some grit and determination. He's a Johnny on the spot opportunist with good chemistry with Crosby, he's talented for sure. But he just is a production machine.

When you watch Pasta, for example, he is a game breaker. Jake just isn't imo. I got some hate for saying I'd move him for a package of Boldy+

It's wild to think that the first fully healthy season of Sid+Geno this team's gotten in forever resulted in this 82-game shitpile.

A Sid injury and they're picking top-5.
No, they'd probably be in the playoffs. You forget that when one of the to 2 get injured for length the team is vastly better because Sullivan actually coaches.

You mean that same 1st that it will take to get him off our Roster...

HBK 2.0 for the win...
Mate a lot of you wankers said we'd need to use a first to move Blueger, McGinn, and Kapanen, three players Sullivan destroyed.

How many firsts did we lose?

JR would have moved 2 at least.

We lost none.

I don't know which Mate... you are talking about but it wasn't me.

We should have fired Sully and kept the 3 then sorted it out over the summer with a new coach. Doesn't matter what they do now... team is f***ing done.
