Puustinen had a total of nine shifts and 5:31 in ice time, after apparently being benched early in the second? He'd better have a compound fracture I missed, because benching a creative player when your team can't score is inexcusable.

Whatever. Just give Harkins - Acciari - Carter more ice time.

Idk, they carried play for most of the game. Yes they needed a win and didn’t get it. I hear that. Yes they didn’t score on 3 breakaways, that sucks, but they also had 2 disallowed goals (one of which was bs IMO, the interference call).

Taken on the whole of the season there are valid criticisms, but if you look at this one game in a vacuum I think you’d agree we win that game 9 out of 10 times

Bloke doesn't pk much if at all. Can't produce offense, his hits are essentially nothing that turns the tides for the Pens, hands of stone, Hockey IQ is barely visible in his game, yet he got 9:36 of ice time and Puustinen got 5:31.

Did they carry the game when they lost to the last place team to blow the playoffs last year? Does anyone care if they did?

Bad teams lose these games when they need points. Good teams find a way to win them. This is a bad team.

This was a typical Pens loss from last season…it’s annoying…they can’t score, not making life hard on UPL, lots of great xGF but who the fggk cares..the PP does shit until theyre gifted a 5 on 3…no changes from the coaching staff until it’s too late and Jarry gives up a softie in the first couple shots…please sell Jake at the TDL

I like how the penguins just hate success. Get a bunch of traffic in front and score a bunch? Nah never do that again.

Have a rookie score a point per game and help the power play finally score after a month? Slowly decay his ice time to 5 mins and take him off the unit.

Have a fringe NHL player who does nothing well and doesn't help the team win any games? Start him. Start him every game.

Down a goal and need some offense? Put the fourth line out with 3 mins left.

Need a big division win against an inferior opponent to jump into a playoff seed? Lose. Every. Single. Time.

The second goal wasn't Jarry's fault, but he always seems to give those up when if he could just hold the f-in fort a little longer we'd get an OTL point or even pull a win out of our ass.

That doesn't excuse the rest of the team of course. Putting up that many shots and getting only 1 is dreadful, and so is wasting all those PP opportunities. Shit they nearly blew the 5v3 too.

Malkin is so bad on the powerplay now and I dunno what happened there as he used to be our most effective PP weapon.
