If the Pens don't get lottery luck then yeah Dubas' job gets harder and he hasn't show any aptitude for being able to navigate that kind of rebuild.

Just long enough to over pay all the guys you drafted so it’s impossible to build a contender around them.

We’ve seen this fish before with Dubas. Making the playoffs doesn’t do it for me, making the Finals does. I have zero confidence that he will ever build a team capable of that.

It won’t help when it’s 2036 and Sully is still here.

Now, it's very early but it looks promising. Ilyin also looks good early on. As does several others. How and what he does in drafting and developing such players will be the primary and IMO the determining factor as to if he's a good GM or not.

Not Pickering. He's an LD. Letang coming back changes nothing for him. Sully certainly doesn't like Graves either.
My guess is JSI.

Depends on the supporting cast at the time. What year are we talking about?
One player - especially if he's a Forward - isn't gonna change much.

It's pretty clear this organization's all on the same page and entirely content to twiddle their thumbs and wait for Sid to get his final shot at the Olympics.

I just hope they have the spine, and brains, to fire Sullivan once the regular season ends, and they go into next season having shipped out guys with any value like Petts, Rakell, Rust, and EK. DOC and Bunting can kick rocks too but they're f***in' worthless.

No he’s right (he also wasn’t GM then). They did not move Kadri (24 years old), JVR (25), Gardiner (24) for picks as rebuild moves. Nor did they move Bozak (28) or Komarov (28) in ‘rebuilding’ trades.
