I think a Jake/Smith+Neds trade to Edmonton makes a ton of sense for both sides.

I would also think VERY hard about a Jarry to Carolina for Necas swap. Then run Neds/Hellberg rest of the year. Try for goalie in FA or resign Neds and bring up Blomqvist. Or...bring back MAF for cheap.


And then pay a 2nd for Justin Holll

With this current group yes. I didn't have much faith in this team even going into this year. When we got EK I guess I thought maybe just maybe there was one more kick at the can. Clearly that isn't the case, no this team is done.

I don't think Dubas is anywhere close to safe from criticism but it merits consideration as to who was the likely party that filled Dubas in on team needs when he was hired. Though I know some people have a difficult time grokking that for whatever reason.

Man, it would be so f***ing cool if Dubas came into the presser and said some shit like "We don't like where we're at and things are gonna have to change. Potentially difficult decisions will have to be made moving forward."

But we've probably got better odds seeing this team pull off a run like the Panthers did last season, and the odds of that happening are approaching literal 0% in reality.

Yep…Dubas came in at the last minute right before draft prep…the scouts had already selected Yager and then he consulted with Sullivan about the team he wanted to put together, said they were in agreement, and then went about selecting players and signing them July 1 so that Sullivan could put together his two fourth lines in the bottom six lol…Dubas’ one grave mistake was in listening to the coach who was on god like status with the owner, despite being a failure for six years lol…even EK was something Sullivan wanted as witnessed by his interest in acquiring Chychrun last year lol…

I hope Dubas says on Wednesday that he’s done following any lead requested by Mike Sullivan to improve this team lol

I'd want more than that for Petts, if we're picking late in the 1st I'd want a 1st, 3rd and a B prospect. Especially if we retain a bit. he's been stellar for us.
