Jesse Granger, who covers the Golden Knights for the Athletic, muses about the Pens flipping Reilly Smith back to Vegas.
"It has long been suspected that Smith didn’t want to be traded from Vegas, and that he’s never fully embraced the idea of playing in Pittsburgh.
He’s been perfectly professional this season, but the fact that he did no interviews during the summer after the June trade generated the idea that he wasn’t happy about the deal. Those feelings don’t seem to have changed."
"Theoretically, they could choose to move him in a hockey trade if they’re looking to load up at the deadline. Should Smith continue to struggle, the likelihood of him being dealt would increase, and the Golden Knights would figure to be first in line for his services."

Should the Penguins and Golden Knights talk about a Reilly Smith trade?
A trade for Smith would inject excitement into the Golden Knights' fanbase — and the locker room.
