If Hino is healthy he 100% plays with Sid and jake tonight over carter. They spent time together in camp and is what Sid likes, fast straight liner who he can predict where they will be.

if hino is still hurt, I’ll bet O’Conner or nylander is up with Sid with Z playing with Geno before carter sees top six. Acari then moves up to the third and carter centers nieto and Harkins.

Yeah, Smith's an interesting case. I liked his play in Pit last year. The problem is, when the spot was up for grabs, others were better. Can't waive POJ. Shea did well, Ludvig was a nice pickup, Rudwedel does well on the RD...it was just tough for him to crack the lineup. He's not doing too bad in WBS. There's worse things than to have him marinading in WBS. Dumoulin spent quite awhile there as well.

Ruh is absolute garbage, between even strength and pk he has to be on the ice for more goals against than any player even when playing limited minutes.

Yeah, I wouldn’t be surprised if this wasn’t a weekend injury with Rakell…I bet h3s been dealing with something for a lot of the season and he can’t really play thru it well and they decided to shut him down for some rest…like a torn rotator cuff or something

The nice part about Rudwedel is that is a guy you can scratch for 80 games and he can step in on 81 and play just as well as if it were Game 1 or Game 40. With that, you don't give a shit about development because he is who he is. Smith, if he's not getting time in the NHL, should continue to marinate in the AHL. I'd rather him get top minutes in WBS than 8-9 sheltered minutes in Pit.

Lol, I'd rather take Phil back than sign Kane. That said, there's nothing out there worth signing.

Toews, Kane, Puljujarvi, Kessel, Nick Ritchie, Eric Staal (maybe?), Chiasson, Parise (maybe?). Other's of note: Nolan Patrick. Obviously recouping from injuries but...maybe?

There's just so little out there. I think we are better of bringing up someone from WBS. White, Poulin, Pitlick, Harkins, Puustinen, Gruden...all likely better candidates than signing an old duffer.

Well hopefully Rakell gets back to 100% and is the best RW for Sid. D still need a better RD 3rd pairing and Dubas knows that if the team is still behind the curve he needs to be aggressive here. Just too many issues that Dubas has to a handle on and these injuries will hamper that. But adding better fixes require cap space and that is where someone has to go for needed additions. May not be popular but why extend Jake when Sid is gone. Move him for a decent cheaper younger LW and move Smith up with Sid. to be honest Trenin has not played as well as hoped and will be a FA after this year. Preds can have Jake and Pens eat a million for Trenin and either a draft pick or decent prospect. pens have 4million in cap space and go get Rutta for a modest pick. POJ moved in Rutta trade.

I wouldn’t hate the idea of the pens signing Pat Kane on a one year deal. Not sure how much is left in the tank but would be fun to watch him. I could see him and Geno working well together and move either rust or Rakell to the third line when healthy.
