Lotta bad stuff going on but Eller is a bright spot. Not only playing well but seemingly taking a leadership role, talks to media a lot and takes ownership after bad games and leading by example on the ice. When the team itself has needed to do more of some particular thing he plays that way.

The only Pens-related reporters or analysts worth a damn are Jesse, Haase, and Shirey imo. I don't pay any attention to what anybody else has to say really because they're all varying degrees of boot licker. Yohe's taken it a step further and just deepthroats the boot anymore.

Yeah, I said this earlier. That's the one thing you can glean from the typical slopshit Pittsburgh sports media folks; when they start to get wind that someone's on the hot seat or about to be fired/dealt, they will turn on them in a heartbeat in order to do whatever it takes to make the organization look as good as possible. Gotta keep that press pass so you can get access to ask Crosby the dumbest f***ing questions in the world and toss Sullivan softies in post game pressers.

Taking out Sullivan, I feel like this issues on this team are (in order):

1. Powerplay
2. Jarry






3. Graves and Letang having a bad start
4. Bad defense from the top-6
5. Bad production from the 4th line

Harkins experiment was pretty bad.

No Poulin or Puustinen tonight in WBS. Both played in the last game, and neither qualifies as a veteran scratch.

Haven't seen anything regarding injuries, though that's most likely the case. Might be too optimistic, but maybe something to watch...

Lotta bad stuff going on but Eller is a bright spot. Not only playing well but seemingly taking a leadership role, talks to media a lot and takes ownership after bad games and leading by example on the ice. When the team itself has needed to do more of some particular thing he plays that way.

Eller has been a great addition to this team.

I know DOC gets shit on alot here and he has his issues but I feel like the third line in general has been a bright spot. Most games when we need offensive pressure or can't seem to generate anything they come out and get solid zone time, often kickstarting a long period of possession, even though other lines don't really do anything with it.

Also I love big Z, he flies every game like he's earning his spot every night, and it's refreshing to see

Basically, a 2nd pairing playing as a 3rd pairing.

Defense is going to suck when you are always stretch passing and lose the puck soon after and the neutral zone is a vacant parking-lot.

Making the right/safe play has to be inbred into everyone. Everyone....

Coach saying the same crap, after just missing the playoffs

Kinda demoralizing atm. It'll be easier for me when the team's supposed to suck and does, because then I'll at least support the direction they're going in, and won't have any expectations for wins.

Not much to talk about with watching the same things play out knowing nothing will change, watching ground hog day for years. Go out and get Karlsson/Smith and a new GM/AGM but become even worse and a PP that's one of the worst in the league despite who's on it. Plus the whole tragic thing that happened a couple days ago.

Yeah this season is pretty much over and the west coast trip where we at best go 1-1-1 will be the nail in the coffin.
