GDT: Pens 2024 Trade Deadline Thread: Jake Shake Talk here

Dubas like a kid taking a test who is stuck on the first question. He takes the entire time allotted to answer it, and then quickly marks C for the other 19 questions and hands it in. Even if he gets that first question right, he flunked the rest of the test.

The market is smaller than it was yesterday. Dubas still has a half dozen players on this roster he could trade and get good returns for. But whatever.

What's it even matter if Sullivan is still going to be coach? I'm so black pilled with Pittsburgh sports.

no need to misrepresent what someone said so that you can actually make a fallacious argument against it.

This trade plays a huge role in determining how the next 3 years play out. You’re welcomed to disagree, but you probably think the earth is flat, too, so we’ll just laugh at you.

Man oh man. Website creation/design fell off a cliff in the last decade. Remember when sites just had links - and simple text? I can't even use the NHL app anymore it's so backwards. Though - thanks for the blast from the past lol. Took me straight back.
 


Found the guy Sully's gonna demand comes back in any Jake trade to Nashville. :laugh:

Also, rumor has it the Kings are really pushing to try and add a scorer. Wonder if they're one of the teams hovering around aside from Carolina, NYR, Vegas, and Vancouver. Think Lebrun mentioned it was 6-7 teams.

My entire criticism of Dubas and Hextall previously is neither went all in.

We have no plan and are directionless and have been for years.

Us totally fumbling the Guentzel trade is on brand at this point.

Yes and no. Yes, they should take as long as it takes to get the best return. However, the longer it takes, the more likely teams in the mix say “screw this” and move to their plan B’s shifting leverage to whoever is left. We’ve seen over the last 5-7 years, the bulk (and biggest) deals typically get done well before the deadline now.

Lol dude I don’t know what I want more now. A good return for the betterment of the franchise or a shit return to see you go full Michael Douglas in “falling down”

You're complaining about that lost 1st round pick of ours but going after EK is kinda going all in after the season he had last year.

You can't have it both ways. And the reason it costed us that was to cover up the other dummies mistakes

See, I didn’t use an ad hominem. It was qualified. Didn’t accuse. But now that we all know you don’t know the meaning of the words and phrases you use, we can laugh harder.

The market is not smaller. 6 or 7 teams are reportedly still in on Guentzel.

And the questions are not weighted equally. Question 1 is like 90% of the test. Whatever they can get for Smith, Ned, Eller, etc. will be nice, but the returns aren't going to be substantial enough to be handwringing about before they even happen.



And yeah, Sullivan has to go. I'll be pretty checked out after the deadline until I hear that Sullivan has been fired.....if/when that ever happens.

The issue was not going after EK.

The issue was not doing anything before or after to improve the team.
 
Wtf is Guentzel doing at practice, at least skate before.

I swear to god if we are delusional about making the PO and "rent" Guentzel ourselves....
