There’s not really anything he can do now that he can’t do in the summer. Our UFA’s no one wants. So he’d still need to move guys with contracts.

Unless we’re lucky enough to run with him all the way until next deadline!

I'd rather see what he can do under a new coach than trade him for anything less than a 3rd.


And yes, I realize that's asking Dubas/FSG to do the unthinkable.

As someone who has given Dubas the benefit of the doubt, the Jake trade makes us worse now, and I can't see how it moves the needle at all moving forward.

this was always going to be the case. our only hope was if it gives us a chance to win later. and maybe it did but the chances are lower than i had hoped.

It's not ideal, but the only other expiring contract is Carter. He's on a full NMC and probably has negative value. No point trading him just to trade him if it costs us.

The Eller, Accari, Smith types should go, but they have term so if prices are just not there try again at the draft or next deadline.
