Did anyone get good value for what they traded? Potentially Byram for Mitts, but I got dragged for saying I thought that was a decent deal considering Buffalo wasn’t singing Mitts long term.

Not giving Dubas a pass, but considering what guys are getting traded for it’s laughable how much we got duped by BS MERCHANTS media into thinking we were getting for Jake
 
If we're punting until next season at least (or realistically, indefinitely) why the hell haven't more players been traded yet?

Tbh, I think they took Dubas saying he hadn’t asked anyone to waive their NTC at his presser 3 weeks ago and made up some fan fiction around it

I would've traded the 1st round pick at the draft. There was no 1st round picks moved. You could've acquired a younger player or a goaltender while dumping cap. Proposed Gibson for our 1st and Jeff Carter at the time.

As far as Smith, I was fine with it, but we should've targeted a player like Colton or Iafallo heading into the draft in addition.

UFA you don't sign Jarry. You sign Ned.

You don't touch Graves. Would've gladly overpaid for Soucy.

Forward wise I wanted Boqvist, Geekie, etc.

Honestly, why would anyone?

I have zero clue why Malkin, Letang, EK, and especially Crosby would want to end their careers like this. They all could win more cups.

It is not the money for any of them. But they are enormous competitors who would add much to any team on the verge of a cup.

It's because people are trying to cope with the fact Dubas is a shit GM and has no clue what he's doing.

I'm not in the position to know what all the offers were on the table, but I refuse to believe a trio of C-tier prospects was all Dubas could get for the best player available at the TDL. Sorry. Cope however you need to, the return sucked. You have to at least secure a 1st rounder this draft, late as it will probably be, considering you're already punting your 1st to SJ due to the EK deal. That was non-negotiable imo.
