Having a hard time caring enough to stay awake through this one. We're intent on icing the wrong lineup nightly, both in terms of scratches as well as line combinations/pairings. It's also hard to care about the results of a team missing Marino and Dumo. Their return will smooth a lot of rough edges.

Hits taken isn’t a bad thing. He’s been garbage for a few weeks but otherwise he’s a good defenseman. He’s young and will have some ups and downs.

It's a lot more fun/rewarding if you care if they win or lose and pay attention to how the team is managed instead of writing it off as just entertainment but to each their own.

I don't think that's the case at all. It's easy to root for a shitty team comprised of a mish-mash of terrible players. It was easy to be a fan in the years after Jagr and before Sid.

Watching a team mess things up with two generational talents on the roster whose window is rapidly closing is what elicits the most powerful reactions from fans. Watching a team whose top scorer is Tarnstrom lose 18 in a row is just a good, absurd time.
