Can't believe 9 people so far think Trotman is an NHL player.

Wait

Don't you realize?

You're...

Already in the asylum, here...now...you've always been here...what did you think this was?

The Burgh
Dear Jack Adams Sullivan,

These are your defensive pairings until an injured D-man returns.

Riikola-Letang
Petterson-Schultz (soffest pair anywhere)
Johnson-Ruhwedel

When Marino and Dumoulin return:

Dumoulin-Letang
Riikola-Marino
Petterson-Schultz

Scratched until the next injury: Ruhwedel
Sent to WBS: Trotman
Shot into the sun: Johnson

You're welcome. I'm sorry this was so difficult for you.

Sincerely,

Everyone

It's bad enough playing Trotman, particularly when you have a better option at your disposal. But the variable that REALLY draws my ire, is the fact he's playing his OFFSIDE! That's doubly idiotic!

It absolutely amazes me the blind spots this coach has. He obviously does a lot of things really well. But these agendas with certain depth players needs to end!

Yep. There are two possible, predictable answers. He gave one last night. The other would be a laundry list of why they like 50 and that's how they want him to play. I think he did the same with Cole, right up to the day they traded him. Any truthful, direct response would require an explanation of the perceived weaknesses in 50's game, which opponents would then exploit (since other teams wouldn't be able to figure that out for themselves), or Sully would have to explain how he doesn't like Riiko's dark sense of humor, the ties he chooses when they travel, or some other arbitrary factor.
if you don't know what to work on.. what good dose it do. as for other teams they have film and pro scouts. if there is something there, they will know.

Bottom player outrage. Misguided blame.
I think it's more about bottom player USAGE. And yes we should be outraged with the usage.

If you're suggesting Crosby or Letang needs to be better, well, yeah.

But the coach can directly control what players he gives a jersey to for a given game. See the difference?

I kind of feel bad for the kid. I'm sure he's doing his best, and yes he made some horrid mistakes, which were compounded by bad luck in having the puck deflected off of him twice behind Murray. But he's a career AHL-Dman that Sully promoted for reasons unknown in the middle of a playoff race, in the middle of a losing streak, in which the team can't score goals, so every defensive mistake/goal against is magnified exponentially. If one wanted to give a textbook example of a catastrophic application of the Peter Principle, this is it, and Sully's to blame.

typical death spiral ....the more you pull back on the stick (instead of going up) the faster you fall.

Yes, answers are No or Yes, take me to the asylum

the answers above on my screen are “no” or “take me to the asylum”...there was no “yes” response...I took the poll be sarcastic, to mean two choices where you were saying he wasn’t a NHL player but one them was very snarky...and of course I chose the snarky one

Yeah, Trotman sucks and no one should ever say anything to his face or @ him on social media because of it, but it’s on the people who are playing him. JR shouldn’t call him up if Sullivan can’t be trusted and Sullivan shouldn’t be so attached. He’s not going to say no just like JJ was never going to turn down that horrendous contract.

That being said, the on ice experience can’t feel great but he’s getting the NHL money and treatment. I’d call that part a wash assuming Murray doesn’t try to kill him.

Being 29 years old with almost 10 pro seasons is hardly being a "kid".

Every once in a while a player comes along that's so bad and has such a negative impact on a game that I don't watch when they're in the lineup. Late stage Scuderi was this. Zach Trotman is this now.
