I bet he's still cashing out the majority of his share.
Mario and the Pens did postpone the development surrounding the arena for the last 10 years.
A fresh set of eyes could be good.
Of course Morehouse keeps his job.
i highly doubt it was the Pens who were the cause of delay.
and why shouldn’t Morehouse not stay on? He’s done a great job
The Hextall hire was one of the dumbest decisions this team made over the last 20 years. I assume he was dirt cheap; I can’t imagine other teams were knocking down his door. COVID really made this team go down the tubes.@Pens x likes to fire everyone before they're hired.
Oh I meant like all billionaires are scumbags so it is a given that they would treat people like shit. Not oooh rich man with money will help our small city flourish “look out lord stanley!”Don't hold your breath. Long time Boston resident/Sox and Bruins fan. John Henry is cheaping out as RSox ownership found a way to get under the luxury tax. They hired nerd Chiam Bloom from Tampa Bay as GM, signed a bunch of also-rans and let Mookie Betts go.
Believe me, I'm not optimistic about the Bruins either - we've got our own cheap ownership and awful GM, draft-wise. But I wouldn't expect much from John Henry. He just wants to own stuff and make as much money as possible.
This is the list Morehouse had to choose from:The Hextall hire was one of the dumbest decisions this team made over the last 20 years. I assume he was dirt cheap; I can’t imagine other teams were knocking down his door. COVID really made this team go down the tubes.
I have a tiny bit of hope that the new owners will clean house. I want Reirden, Sully and Hextall gone. It will be interesting to see if the new owners will continue to pay Burke to basically make random media appearances as his job.
Everything he writes including tweets come off as so supremely doucheyI'd rather Jeremy Jacobs buy the Penguins and move them to some weirdly pronounced town like WUSSTER than to click on a DK article.
-edit- Remember when DK was full lapdog for the organization and went to extreme lengths to paint guys like Despres, Bennett and Kessel as unbearable cretins addicted to drugs, alcohol and gambling? That was cool. Cool fella, who I'm told treats his employees very well.

He's the guy who is as bad/ill-informed/wrong about everything as any other Pittsburgh sports media dummy has ever been, but he carries himself with an aire of "Haha, I'm DK, I'm not anything like those other bottom feeders."Everything he writes including tweets come off as so supremely douchey
I only skimmed it, but the sell is for $900,000. The group approached the Pens not the other way around. They want to add an NHL team and an NBA team to their portfolio.Cliff notes version? I don't like reading his stuff.
On a random note, I always read his name as "Dijon", like the mustard, whenever I see him tweet.
Boston??? Sully will never get fired, and they'll force us into baby blues so we don't copy the bruins anymore
f***
Didn't the Bruins complain about us and them having the same colors which was why we had to change to throw up gold? Or was that a Morehouse thing?
Sully has that Bostonian look that they will use for Gillette shaving commercials
They complained a long time ago when the pens changed to black and gold because the pirates and steelers were having success tail end of the 70s early 80s
The Vegas gold was just a terrible marketing ploy
Anything ANYTHING to stay out of those cursed blues again
