Bunting had 7 goals and 3 assists on the PP. Seems okay to me. 39 ES points.

I still prefer Barbashev but he’s earning more money with each round.
I'm a greedy mf'er, I want em both. Your 3rd line should be able to score damnit!!!!

I agree that Letang is the biggest personnel issue there, but they haven’t looked like a coached group in years. They don’t seem to have a goal when they’re out there or any set plays they’re looking for to simplify their options. You can see them thinking out there and Letang sucks the most when that’s happening.

The teams that have strong pps set up one or two major plays and then read off what the other team does. When we’ve had success we’ve gone back to a few moves - kessel high roll, Geno one timer, the high to low to bump into the slot, Sid deflections from beside the net etc. They need to get back to having one or two actual aims out there even more than they have to improve on Letang imo.
Yeah but maybe the Pens could pickup Ghost just in case lol…that would help the PP tremendously

Gostisbehere might be cool. Probably comes a little cheaper than Orlov. He’s a riverboat gambler but who cares. Just f***in’ go for it.

Zucker I want back here. Hes a heart and soul guy and one of the view who showed he cared game in and game out. Team was much better with him in the line up.
I don't trust players that fire up in a contract year at 31. Zucker was
mostly mediocre or injured in the previous 2 seasons with the Pens and we already have enough over 30 players.
This is his last big payday and he probably want a 5-year NTC deal, so I would let him go to UFA.

Even from Zucker’s perspective it doesn’t make sense to return. He’s a western / midwest guy, 2/3rds of his time here sucked, no 1st PP time for the foreseeable future and he’s playing a couple minutes less than he did in Minnesota. He was on PCP all year and still only mustered an “okay” season by his standards.

That's a great lineup if the team's chasing a top-5 pick.

Gostisbehere would only be an attractive option if Sullivan was willing to make him the PPQB over Letang. If he's only the second unit option and used at ES in ... umm ... questionable deployment, I don't know if he'd be a good fit.

Yep…he’s a much better PPQB than Letang…Dubas needs to talk to Sullivan and explain that he needs to replace Kris in that role, regardless of his love of no accountability for vets lol…Letang can still play on the PP, just not at the point on PP1

I don’t see the reason in bringing Ghost in over just letting Ty Smith take that role.

Ghost will be Matheson 2.0 only slightly better defensively.

This team could really use a powerplay specialist. Whether it’s a forward or defenseman I don’t care. The only players who should be untouchable on the PP1 lineup are Crosby and Malkin.
