Putting Letang at the top of the PP and Karlsson on the left half-wall is actually an idea I'm 100% supportive of seeing.

Let Karlsson be the Kessel type of distributor in that kind of role.
I've been pushing for them to put Letang on the top PP unit for a while now.

I don't think it's gonna actually change a whole lot if the PP structure remains the same but I have been advocating for it so I'm interested to see how it works.

The Pens need to get the puck to the slot on the powerplay.

Solution? Two defensemen.

This guy is an i d i o t

This was WBS's roster yesterday:

They're scrapping the bottom of the barrel at this point with who to call up. Both the Penguins and WBS Penguins are going through a lot of injuries at forward.

Nylander is getting called up because they're running out of other guys to call up.

There is that Puustinen guy ... ;)

He has the same stat line as Nylander has this year (5 goals and 10 points) in 4 more games (18 games for Puustinen, 14 games for Nylander).

The team is just hemhoragging forward depth at this point. Guys like Harkins are playing and Nylander and Koppanen are geting called up because they're missing like 6-8 NHLers or top AHLers right now.

I would still rather see new blood. Gruden, Puusy, Pitlick or Houde.

Nylander, Koppanen, Harkins have done nothing at the NHL level to continue earning calls. 0 across the board for all 3.

Are we giving Nylander preferential treatment because we think it marginally improves our odds with his brother?
Honestly, not the worst idea.

We've seen Puustinen play one NHL game.

He's our top prospect offensively that is currently in WBS. It's just stupid at this point that he isn't getting a shot.

I'd prefer it if they didn't give up on him at the 3 game mark, especially when the alternatives are Harkins and Koppanen.

Did Pitlick kick Dubas's dog?
His defending is too poor to be a Sullivan guy.
This coach's prio ratio is like 75% defense, 25% offense...something like that.

I know Nylander hasn’t done much in his first fifteen call ups in the NHL but he’s not about to let his sixteenth chance slip through his fingers. This guy will come ready to play.
You're right. He only has 34 points in 96 games at this level.
We need to play Harkins, who has 27 points in 162 games. He's the solution to depth scoring.
