Most people just wanted a fun season and hopefully make the playoffs. Even EK couldn't avoid the Sullivan effect. Team is horrid to watch and has no future. Absolute worst place for a sports team.
Yes Yes Yes ! it has nothing to do with the Core being Mid 30's & not mid 20's

It’s the best place for a Sports team because when there are no beaches or mountains to climb to occupy your time you become diehard fan of Sports lol. I agree with everything else you wrote but am confused by your last sentence.

Is the core the reason we are losing?
Don't think so.

I do blame the core for the horrible PP though. I can count on one hand how many times Malkin has been setup for the one-timer on the right. Not to say that is the solution, but it was tool in our belt that's no longer there. Who thought EK would be worst than Letang at it.

That was in August. It's February.
I don't care what other GMs are doing. His job is to identify problems and fix the team. He's not doing that. He's letting Sully have his way, instead of stepping in and preventing this.
Reirden should not be here anymore. Sullivan should not be here anymore.
Depth 5v5 scoring pieces are needed, since the team can't score. Adjustments to the Power Play are very clearly needed.
He is just waiting until the deadline. It'll be too late by then. Actually it's already late too now, thanks to his inaction, in large part.
Speaking of letting Sullivan have his way, this was a good one lol: you’re now coming out and saying we need to get younger, and this coach refuses to play the youth more…gtfoh…

Your responding to Sullivan's Nephew or paid shill. Don't expect to get a coherent or unbiased answer. Sid is awful and the reason for all the teams problems

I don't like Sullivan! I just defend him staunchly at every turn and make sure to mention how age is the only problem even though the only guys on the team performing to their contracts are old!

Speaking of Sullivan, and this is depressing, the guys on Overdrive on TSN, think it was Bryan Hayes, said that apparently Sullivan has an iron clad contract…said LeBrun mentioned it to them…hence Dubas’ over the top praise of him lol…

Guys, I'm sure this Titanic can pull itself out of its downward sinking motion, better wait a few more hours to be sure. Probably want to get rid of the life rafts too because that'll force the ship to adapt.
If the front is sinking, it's best to go full speed.

Then you'll have enough momentum to go under the waves and pop up again.

It's basic physics.

"Hey I can throw out some psychological terms and make myself sound smart!"

I'm waiting for toxic masculinity to be the next Psychology word calendar of the day

But now since your theory that Dubas can fire Sully if he wanted, was sunk yesteday you're trying to spin this as Sid having power. Good for you! Do not go gently into that good night!

Idk who you’re responding to, but I love it!

Any more details? I don’t get what the two have to do with each other (iron-clad contract and praise).

Is it too early to start "SELL THE TEAM" chants at FSG?

Nothing more was said …and I mean, Dubas can do nothing about Sullivan staying here for the next three years except make the best of it…why have a bad relationship with someone ownership loves like you love your dog and who you’ll see every day…so he goes out of his way to praise at every turn lol

I am shocked that we haven't tried to bring ZAR back yet. Maybe Sully isn't all powerful after all.

Then explain EK (a Norris winner) and his dramatic falloff?
I think with the lack of talent and structure in SJ, Karlsson was more or less unchained and free-wheeled last year. Even though he collected 101 pts, he was a -26. So....why do I think there's a "falloff", probably because there is more being required asked of him.
